Do you think he's planning something?
I asked him last night (we are not going on honeymoon) if he fancied a few days in a country cottage and he got all flustered and said not to do a thing....... and when I said I was thinking UK cos I haven't changed my passport yet he said "What? Do you need it for the EU?"
Should I keep bringing it up so he doesn't forget? Or just hope for the best?

Sounds like he's got some romantic break up his sleeve to me! Let it drop though or he might get naffed off and cancel it to be spiteful!!!

Make sure he books tickets in your maiden name - subtle hints work wonders sometimes - and you can still go abroad...
Sounds like he is plotting though. How fab!

It does sound like he is up to something - what a sweet heart!
Passport could be a problem, but he now knows that you have not changed it so I would have thought he'd book anything which needed to be booked in your maiden name..

We were rooting round for a cheque book tonight and he waltzed off with my passport - but that may be typical Nick and tomorrow I will find it in the fridge or something!

Oh no dont try to get answers from him!
He will be happier if he thinks he has organised it all without you knowing. Even though you sort of know he is up to something it will be a nicer surprise for you if you dont know what he has planned

Scotland is still very nice and you can make it romantic, especially as it's bound to be all white with snow.
(Why take the passport though  ?)

He doesn't know WHY he took the passport - he thought about booking something then bottled it in case he couldn't afford it so put it back...... so Hogmany with granny it is!!!!
Seriously, we're going to Aberdeen then on to Edinburgh for New Year, I think!

Yes, I'm already looking up extremely expensive hotels in Edinburgh - the sort which cost the same as a small car ...... but will settle on something mid range and hopefully a bit plush!
