we went to the maldives 28th july this year for our honeymoon. it was fantastic absolute paradise. we stayed at the vilu reef resort
www.vilureef.com (if you want to take a peek) and it was stunning. everything is just such paradise and soooo romantic. it was a very relaxing holiday which is what we both wanted after all the stresses of wedding planning. the weather was ok. it rained for the 1st week on and off just about 10 min bursts though and then it was boiling again. (we did go in the monsoon season though so we were expecting it. I think you will get good weather when you go as the monsoon season starts end of july. mind you i was quite glad of the rain at times as it cleared the air a bit.
we went on a few trips , night fishing, local island, dolphin cruise etc there was plenty to do the snorkling is absolutly fantastic ive never seen anything like it, so many different colour fish also turtles and dolphins.
i think that about sums it up put it this way its pure paradise just like the bounty advert.
one thing i would deffinatly reccomend though is to go all inclusive as it is very very very expensive there it was about 5 pounds a pint!!!!
