some of you may know that our honeymoon has become the bane of my life, it is a million times harder to organise than the wedding!
the prob is we can't leave charlie for too long etc etc and all my ideas are a bit half hearted. wanted somewhere warm and a bit special cos we won't be going away on our own again for a long time (when charlie is a lot older)
have now found a company that does short breaks (4 night) in cairo, egypt. have always fancied seeing the pyramids etc and so this sounds really cool. sounds not too expensive but need to get proper quote on monday or tuesday so will let you know.
hope this works out cos really fancy it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hurrah! have finally booked somewhere!!!!! and it is cairo!!!!!!! we are DIY ing it. our flights are £200 each (ish) and four nights in a five star hotel bang slap next to the pyramids is £270. making our total about £700 ish without spending, apparently cairo is quite cheap for stuff (is this true nik?). We are flying on Saturday1st march/sunday2 march with olympic airways and then coming back 5th or 6th (time diff and all that). Its ideal, exactly what we've been looking for! a bit of an adventure together ALONE but not for 7 nights which is too long. Really looking forward to 5* luxury and seeing pyramids etc as i havre always wanted to see them and so has chris. we've booked our accommodation with www.octopustravel.com which belongs to easyjet and we've also booked two excursions with them (really good for a budget company!)
1. Day tour of pyramids/ sphinx (am) and then tour of cairo city and visits to museums etc (pm) This is really so we don't miss anything and find our bearings. Doing this on first day.
2. a moonlit dinner cruise on the Nile. how romantic..................
we can then please ourselves, we are 15 mins walk from pyramids and a short taxi ride from cairo.
sorry to go on but am just soooooooooooooooooo excited now!

That's where my Mum stays! It is as fabulous as it looks, My mum has been back 4 times to see her birthplace (My Grandad was posted out there in Army) The people who work there are very friendly and welcoming, you'll love it!!
It is lovely, you'll have a fab time!! My mum and I only did 3 nights in Cairo (after a 7 night cruise from Luxor to Aswan) so make sure you take in the lights and laser show at the pyramids, and the Cairo museum. You get to see Tutten Kahmun's (sp??) solid gold head piece. It's absolutely breathtaking!!!
Cairo is a very friendly place!! You'll it!
have fun, Lo xxxx
