we were talking about the wedding and the honeymoon last night and i was woundering if any of you had ideas and destinations you could suggest.
Originally we wern't having a honeymoon due to our budget but now really feel the need for a break
so do we look for something now and hope we can get a good deal or should we wait till much nearer the time and see if we can get a last minuet bargain (this is what Chris want's to do)
also any good european destinations (not greek - don't know why but he doesn't fancy greece) must have sun sea and sand and sightseeing in september
all suggestions greatfully recieved

i'm guessing around the £600 mark for both of us oh and we want self catering or something where we are not tied down to eating at certain times - north majorca is lovely we were there last may in a villa but Chris doesn't want to have to drive this time so that option is out too
thanks for your interest

I went to Malta a couple of years ago and it was lovely. We went at the beginning of september and the weather was still great, really warm and sunny. There aren't that many great beaches though. There was quite a lot to do and the scuba diving was good if you wanted to give it a go. We stayed in a hotel but went self catering and it was about £700 for both of us for 2 weeks. The hotel was pretty good and there were lots of facilities like a pool, a couple of bars, restuarant and a gym that we didn't go anywhere near.
We stayed in St Pauls Bay which was quite quiet and there were lots of couples around. It was only about a ten minute walk to all the nightlife though so if you want to go clubbing or want something a bit livelier it wasn't far away.
We had a great time and would recommend it.

We went for a real short break (4 nights) and booked it through Ryan Air, it cost us £400 for the two of us, flights and accommodation....... DIY can be good!

well i spoke to Chris last night and we looked at the budget again and we have decided to wait and see how the money goes but we have agreed that Malta is probably going to be the placee to go if we can - so fingers crossed we can make space in the budget for it
thanks for all your help
