We're going to stay in a cottage in Cornwall. We stayed there in October 2001 for a weekend & it's where we first started planning our wedding. Originally we'd planned to go back as "week 2" of our honeymoon but decided not to as we needed the time to sort out moving my things from Cardiff & sorting the house out.
We're now going for a week this September to celebrate our first anniversary....
The cottage we stayed in before is booked, but when Matt explained why we wanted that cottage & that week, the owners are letting us have one of the slightly lager cottages for the same price! I'm so excited & I can't wait!
That looks lovely, but I tried not to spend too long looking as last time a Groover directed me to a cottage website I booked a holiday there! It should be lovely there though as all the schools will have gone back but the weather should still be nice.
Too right, I spent ages looking at the other cottage sites, thankfully money & holiday time meant there was no way I could have got away with booking anything!!
If the weather is anything like last September it'll be lovely... we had glorious weather on our wedding day! Plus when we were in Cornwall in the October the weather was lovely too!
It will be fab with the schools being back, no children getting in our way!

We went to Cornwall for a weeks holiday 2 years ago, and stayed in St Agnes in a beautiful cottage not too different from that one. We LOVED it! I had never been before, but its just so perfect. We went last year for a long weekend too and stayed in Tregenna Castle. We very almost bought a time share lodge there (it was stunning, sauna, steam room, 3 bedrooms, and the most amazing views) but decided it was too much money and we had our wedding to pay for.
You'll have a brilliant time. I want to go back now Any room for a little one?
Well B, we are having a 2 bedroom cottage........... but I'm not sure whether you'd want to stay in the same cottage as us, might not be around too much!
I love cornwall so much, spent a few family holidays there PLUS went 2 years running with the youth group I used to belong to!
I love it so much... thankfully so does Matt!
We've got loads planned to do & see when we go, so I'm glad we're going for a week!

Can you believe it, after reading you thread I then went and depressed myself by looking at all the cottages and thought maybe I could plan a surprise weekend away for us just before the wedding..... Not sure if we will be able to afford it then though. have a feeling it wont happen cos of money.
It's a lovely thought though! You may win the lottery before then! If you could do then I think it would be fantastic idea, you could have a nice relaxing NON WEDDING weekend to chill & enjoy yourselves!
