Default Ready to go again - Newcastle this time

Well, we're all booked up.

4 of us going to Newcastle a la Easyjet on the first weekend of April. Really cheap too - worked out £30.00 per person return including taxes

Found a nice cheap hotel near to the Quayside and we're off.

I love Newcastle - loads of life there - anybody been recently and can give any tips of fab new places to go - I haven't been since Christmas 2001.

Ta

I live just outside Newcastle....and i must say i am having my hen night there. I think basically if you stick to the quayside you can't go wrong.......there are loads of pubs, if you want to go to a club let me know what type of club you want and i can more than likley recommend one. If you want anymore info let me know.

I do admit that i'm getting very addicted to these bargainesque breaks.

If we plan it right we can do 2 or three for the price we used to pay for one hence all the scrambling round to different places.

Our friend John's parents live in Gosforth in Newcastle and there's always the option to stay there if we're really skint so it works out well.

Just found out we're booked into a restaurant called Barn Again ( ). Gail, do you know it?

You just never slow down do you!

Isn't it great that you can go abroad for the weekend if you feel like it these days???

I love it Nikki - it's almost the ultimate in freedom for us.

The trouble is that Steve spends so much time working (he's overnight in Birmingham tonight) away that these weekends are a really good way of making sure we get quality time.

Don't think i'll post any pictures from Newcastle though.

They'll be far too messy!

Well, I'm off to Historic Chester this weekend (for a wedding) - am in the doghouse for not staying with the inlaws (13 miles away in Northwich) but fancied a hotel etc................. lovely!

How were things in Sunny Chester Nikki?

Have to say Newcastle was fab. The restaurant was actually called Barn Again (at the Biscuit Factory) and was bloody marvellous (from what I remember)

Spent a whole weekend having cooked breakfasts (bad) and eating or drinking at every waking moment.

My clothes tell a sorry tale! Same again next year!
