It all depends what software you're using to resize them, what are you using? Most photo imaging software has a "resize" option, where you need to select "pixels" as the method of measuring as oposed to cms or inches, then resize it so that the height/width is under 500 pixels. Try going to the "help" section of your imaging software to see if it can talk you through it.
Don't bother with Paint for resizing, it doesn't work. Any other picture software on your machine? If not try searching online for a free picture resizing programme, theres bound to be one somewhere.
Well at least I know to give up completely with Paint... LOL
As for others on my PC, I am really not sure ~ but I'll have a look-see, if not I'll see what I can download. At a push, I can buy something from PC world or somewhere...

I was having the same problem Karen untill some of the lovely Groovers told me to use the stretch and scew option! I use it in paint and it seems to work ok for me.
