Default Question about chat

Hi

I have tried now a few times to get into the chat room but when I try it opens so far that I get some buttons on the screen my nick up at the top but the rest stays grey then my screen freezes and I can't get the page to close

Can someone please help me to see if I can eventually get in.

Thanks

Thanks for letting us know. I'm going to get Mark to look into it for you - can you let me know what browser you are using and what speed internet connection you are on?

It sounds as if your modem is to slow to handle the java applet that loads up on the page. Do you have IRC installed on your computer? It's a chat programme that allows you to just connect to the channel you need (in this case My Groovy Wedding). It doesn't need a Java Applet so you shouldn't have the problems with the screens loading. It's really the only other way you can get into it I'm afraid. If you ever do want to try it out let me know and I'll give you all the details you'll need to log in.

I'm not even sure what IRC is let alone if I have the programme on my computer
Could you let me know what it is and how I can get it as I would like to try it to see if I can get into chat.
Thanks
