Default BBQ Suggestions

I am having my family over on the 6th of May for a BBQ for my birthday. There will be approx 12 teenagers/adults, 3 kids and 2 babies (I have no idea how I will fit them all in, just hope the weather is reasonable so we can put the gazebo up and go outside.
Anyway, we need to cater for 1 nut allergy (so everything needs to be nut free), 5 vegetarians (2 of which have wheat allergies), and the rest meat eaters but some won't eat beef. And 1 diabetic. Because I don't see them that often I don't want to spend hours cooking, so hope the weather is good for a BBQ but if it rains still need to do something inside.
So far I have come up with:
Crudites and dips
Crisps
Jacket Potatoes
Salad, cheese etc
Prawns
Home made chick pea and bean burgers (wheat free)
Sausages and burgers (poss lamb burgers)
Bread rolls
BOOZE
Pop/juice

For dessert - fruit salad/strawberries and a nut free chocolate birthday cake.

The menu is quite limited because most things on the shelves seem to contain traces of nuts!!!

Does anyone have any other suggestions of what I can do for food to make it a bit more appealing??

We always do some pork with a honey and mustard marinade and chicken fillets with rosemary and thyme. Both are gorgeous and I can't wait for BBQ weather

Brian does this prawn, honey and ginger kebab thing but I'm not sure exactly how he does them so I'll ask him for you.

Fish is nice barbecued - someone once came to one of ours with a fish he'd just caught. We stuffed it with lemon, onion and herbs and some butter, wrapped it in foil and slapped it on the barbecue. It was brilliant.

I also do savoury rice and Asda do a tuna and sweetcorn pasta salad thing.

Will have a think on what else there is

Thanks Ang.
I have been a veggie since I was 15 so I cook meat but I'm not really sure whether it tastes any good. That pork sounds good, what cut of pork do you use and how do you make the marinade? Also how long do you cook it for (please ignore my ignorance (blush))
The others like fish too so that's a good idea - especially salmon. And had completely forgotten about savoury rice which is nice and easy to make too!

We use either chops or pork steaks but I also love belly pork slices. The marinade is one we buy. Paul Newmans is the one I love but Asda do a very good one the same. Best to check the ingredients though just in case with the nut thing.

I don't know how long to cook it for as my Brian does all the barbecuing but I'll ask him.

Another thing I do is chicken cut into small pieces, a tub of natural yoghurt and some curry powder. I usually use Tandoori or Tikka powder. Mix the powder into the yoghurt and then add the chicken to it. Parcel it all up in foil and cook it slowly on the barebuce. That's lovely that is.

We love salmon or tuna steaks barbecued. I think he does something with lime and coriander when he does those.

I know you;ve already mentioned jacket potaoes but another good crowd pleaser is.....Par boil some new potatoes and cut in half & thread onto some wooden skewers. Then you can bung these straight on the BBQ and leave some pots of mayo for dipping

You can get some nice vegetarian burgers so that might be worth a try.

How about a pasta salad and fish is lovely BBQ'd.

Some ice cream for the kids might be good as all kids love ice cream.

Everything sounds fab.
