Better late than never - Wedding Forum

Hi Everyone, The new Mrs M errison signing in!

Sorry its taken soo long to get back online, but I'm here now

The day was fantastic. We had great weather all day and everything went to plan. The hairdresser and make-up artist both turned up an hour earlier than planned as they had both been worried about traffic being busy with it been sunny and the New Forest. They where both brilliant and very calming.

The only hiccup was when both mothers left my room to find their lipsticks for the make-up artist and then didn't come back for 30 minutes! So the make-up artist was standing around doing nothing!

So ceremony time. Was the most amazing moment, I turned down the alise and there Paul was standing looking back at me and I was so happy to see him. We'd been separated since 10am and the ceremony was at 3pm. I knew we were doing the right thing and everything was perfect. The registrar did an amazing personally introduction based on some details we had sent the office previously but did a fantastic job of presenting it as if it had all been found out from our guest just before the ceremony.

The photographer did an amazing job, was fantastic with all the guests and even gave them advice to make sure that they all took good photos rather than ignoring them or even asking them to move out of the way.

Sadly a rush to get the receiving line, meant that the both parents where standing in front of our central hall table centrepiece so only Paul and I got the wow factor seeing it entering the hallway. Bit of a sore point for me

The speeches were great, very funny and enjoyable and the bestman's wasn't too embarrassing. The wedding breakfast was amazing, we had one waiter per table. Not what happened at the previous wedding i have been too, and because our's were dressed in black we all started to refer to them as ninga waiters

One our friends even said it was the best wedding food he had ever had!!

The casino during the evening reception was a big hit and I'm soo grateful that we decided to pay out for one. Everyone loved it and the evening guests really appreciated it since it gave them something to talk about with the day guests

Sounds wonderful - congratulations. The photos are excellent too - some of the best wedding ones I've seen. You looked great, I love your dress. Your desserts also looked lovely, I'm not surprised you had good reports on the food!

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!! I love your dresses and your table decs are fab. Your cake looks so elegant - Rob bought me that ornament for our first wedding anniversary and just bought me the couple & baby one when Grace was born

i just spent ages loooking through all your piccys chick, theyre really beautifull, and you all look as if you all had lots of fun too, i love so many of em, the one of you two on the stairs with you leaning back against it, is lovley and i love the one of you all linked arms and walking along the lawn.
im another one who thinks thats necklase is a bit gorgeous too!!!

(sigh) i LOVE weddings!!!!!

Ah thanks everyone.

I've been busy finding places in our house for all our wedding presents. I think we ordered too mauch crockery and cutley. Plus I've already got started on the thank you cards. Seems like the wedding planning hasn't ended yet!

We both think the photos are amazing, not sure how we are going to cut the lot down to only choosing around 50 for our album. But luckly we paid a bit extra and have the whole lot in proper proof form (with no funny writing of the top) for us to keep.

And don't worry i'm not going anywhere, although I'll probably be in the housey thread more now
