Default Living together?

Hi!

How many SMs were living together before and how many moved in together are getting married?

Also when are you going to buy a house together or have you already?

I moved into Ben's flat a year ago in February. We then bought our house in Kingston a year ago. I'm really glad we did it this way around...

Not that I'm a SM yet!

Mark and I moved in together 2 years before we got married. Well actually, Mark rented a house with a friend, I went to stay for a weekend and never left!!

We had always said we would buy a house after the wedding, but one came up 8 weeks before, in the area we liked and in our price range, so we went for it!! Moved in 1 month before the big day!!

Like you Mella, definately pleased we did it this way!!!

If it wasn't for the Army and the fact I can't move away from Cardiff until I've finished my course I think me & Matt would have moved in together, although I don't know!

Not really much help on this subject! LoL

Dan and I lived together for 6 years before we finally tied the knot. We bought our first flat together about 5 years ago, and our house (which we currently live in) just under 2 years ago!

I'm really glad we did it this way around too - at least we know each others bad/annoying habits - so after this amount of time I'm not expecting to find out something really hideous about Dan.

Matt & I bought our first home 2 years ago. I think it is better buying a house first then getting married so you can find out what they are really like.

Andy moved in with me nearly a year ago and we've been living with my parents all that time.

In more normal circumstances we would have rented our own place before now but as we met on the internet and he lived over an hour away it was the best way for us to move forward. He moved here, got a new job and since then we've been saving for our new house and wedding so my parents let us stop here!

We should be in our new home by end of june as we have a lot of work to do on it first. I'd definitely recommend living together before you get married because no matter how long you've been with someone you learn more than ever what they're really like once you're living, eating, sleeping and breathing in each others space - sometimes I wanna strangle him and vice versa but we wouldnt change it for the world.

Oh God, before I go into this, should explain I'd never moved in with any of my previous boyfriends before Steve (and all my relationships were longish term).

However, Steve had just bought the most decrepid old house (holes in the floor, walls, half the electrics one AWOL) when I met him. He'd bought it for a project as he was single at the time.

About 5 weeks after meeting him he gave me a key, and within 2 months we were living together. Very quick, but it just felt sooooo right - obviously panned out well too seeing as we got married.

We still live in the same house. We've put an extension on the side of it and decorated it exactly how we want it so I think we'll probably be here for another 20 years, but we like it and as has already been pointed out, we knew each other's bad habits well in advance of tying the know.

Hi

I don't think either of us ever wants to move out of our house. I know we've not been there that long, but we keep saying we'll build upwards and outwards rather than move if necessary!!

I love our home, the area, the neighbours etc.
