I have a friend that's done this and she got a dodgy one. He later turned up on some Trisha type show as an internet stalker!!!

However she had more good experiences than bad ones and is now very happy with a fella she met online.

My old boss used to go on an internet dating site, and she met a well fit bloke, well in fact she went on three diff dates in two weeks and got a good old shag out of it too.

A mate of mine used to use them just for the shags. She always described herself as a cyberslag and she loved it.

I met my man via internet dating, so I think net dating is a fabulous thing!
I did go on a few dates prior to meeting Rob about 4 years ago, but they werent successful. There's some very dodgy people on the net, so dont be too eager!
Take plenty of time to get to know someone before you meet them and if you dont like someone by their e-mails then be able to have the courage to say that you dont think it will work with them. Rather than go ahead on a date because you feel obliged to.

I didn't use an Internet dating service but I did meet my boyfriend online in a chat room/forum so it can't be all that bad. It's like all the methods of finding the "love of your life" somethings work for one person and not for another.

Oh, go for it! Honestly, if I was single I wuld try all these great things out there these days. I particularly fancy 'speed dating' - a friend at work went to one of these and he had a great time, he made some brilliant friends out of it even though it didn't lead to romance.

Speed dating is all the rage in Liverpool at the moment and sounds like a bit of a laugh.

I've nothing against online dating sites, after all, I tried the 'find me some mates' site although without much success alas.

I think it's a great way to meet people though, and gain some confidence, just be careful and you can't go far wrong.

I know a few people that have used them and had different experiences. Pauls best mate has recently joined one and is having fun meeting new people.

Speed dating seems to very popular here too and some of my work mates have given it a try. By the sounds of things though, there seems to be a lack of men at these in Bournemouth.

I'd definately say to give it a try.
