Oooh blimey, it varies on how busy the court is I think as well as Dave returning everything he needed (but I think that was the first part that you've already done)

As an example... I started proceedings on July 27th, then had to go to court to get papers witnessed either late Sept/early Oct (I was living in Liverpool by then). My decree absolut was granted at the beginning of January so take six weeks and a bit off that and that must be mid November for my nisi.

You still with me??

I started proceedings with my first husband in December although because of Christmas they didn't get dealt with by the court till early January, served on him I think in the February and the absolute came in June so my decree nisi must have been through at the end of April. So going by what Lauries just said and what happened with me I should think around the three to four month mark.

It took 6 months start to finish for me but then my ex was useless at filling in forms and had to do his twice!!! The courts are usually pretty helpful if you get in touch and will tell you how long you will expect to wait ( phoned a few times with silly questions just to see how things were progressing) But from the Nisi to the absolute it is 6 weeks and 1 day.
