Me
Well I'm almost at the 2 month mark so thought I' let all you nosey people what I've been up to...
I have finished with my Relate conseling now but am continuing with weekly Cognitive Behavioural Therapy which is going really well. I never dreamed I would have been able to do all this on my own, but maybe because I have the rewards have been far greater.
Now my thought processes are being broken down with the CBT I'm often laughing at myself when I have the odd unrealistic thought which is a good thing......I think!!! My favorite analagy at the moment is that all my skin has been shed like a snakes & I'm picking through the scales & sticking back on the ones that I like and that sit properly with me
I went to Vegas for a friends wedding and honestly it's not a place I'd want to go back to (well maybe if hell freezes over!!!) but it wasn't a total waste of time because I disolved a few old nuggets along the way....Apart from the fact that I went on my own, after years of being petrified of flying it appears that actually I'm not - I got on a 44 seater plane without batting an eyelid...twice! The decent into Vegas in the dark was AMAZING, oh dear & then we landed! Also I went right to the top of the Stratosphere, even the outside bit without any sign of a wobble.
Had a tinge of sadness today as it's his birthday which I have decided not to acknowledge, I remembered how crap my brother in law felt when his ex sent him a card/present so decided it was best to leave well alone.
After jacking in the gym I'm still pretty trim although I'm not really trying, am walking LOADS and not cooking big dinners so it's apparently evening itself out.
Have done lots of sorting things out indoors, have got rid of about 3 wheelie bins worth of junk, books & clothes. Got a wall plastered this week & am thinking of maybe decorating it myself over the bank holiday weekend if I can move the furniture.
So in a nutsell I feel better than I have in months and months, plus my self esteem has finally crawled out from under it's rock....well I think I'm pretty damn great anyway
Well that's me for now, tatty bye
Love Kx
