i know this isn't strickly wedding but its related trust me

just need to grumble about something

phils sister is finally getting married in 5 weeks this coming sat

its supposed to be a fabulous wedding although most is supposed to be a secret i know more than im supposed to

anyway

phils other sister was on our hols with us and i happened to say oh its not long to lauras wedding when is she sending out the invites and she said oh laura sent them out ages ago and i said oh we havn't got ours yet

phil spoke to her yesterday and her excuse was that she only got our new telephone number at the weekend and we werent there to call.

we have lived with my mum for about 3 years together not including the year we lived in the rented flats

she has been to our house a million times and she also has our mobile numbers and would it be too much trouble to drive past as phils family live just about round the corner

am i ranting too much or do you think im over reacting

I don't think you are ranting too much at all. I would be annoyed/hurt by that too!

I agree! It's his sister, I'd never do that that my brother and his future wife.

I'd be upset too Stacy. Definitely best to get Phil to ask what's going on (if you were thinking of that).

I never even got an invite to my brothers wedding. On the day my H2B was having to ring up to check on the dress code and the actual time of the wedding because we had no idea.

It was just assumed that we would be coming.

I wasn't impressed either, so rant away.

I'd be upset too and don't think you are ranting at all. Its Phils sister, you'd think she'd send an invite to her own brother. I suppose she could just be assuming that you are going and doesn't need to send an invite but even so she should have phoned you. What a cheek!

I wouldn't get too upset Stace, she probably just assumed you were going to come and so thought she wouldn't bother with an invite. Not everyone is as thoughtful as you and some people just forget.

no when he spoke to her she said she was posting it still not got it today and the post isn't that bad no shes sent ones to her other brother and sister even the one who lives with their mum

Stace girl, I would put this down to ignorance on her behalf more than anything else and definatly wouldn't take it to heart. Sometimes familes can REALLY suck and at least it is not your own that is getting to you, just the one that will be inlaws and wouldn't worry about that too much. Stuff her!
