Default My sister's getting married!

And it seems I'm the last to know..! I haven't actually met her fiance, tho have heard far too much about him (not all good, the last time she mentioned him - long story)! I got a bluey from her this morning which basically said that it's all been going on for the past couple of months, and her bloke back here in the UK is planning it all (brave girl!). She's asked me to be matron (hate that word!) of honour too, which is quite sweet of her... but I just don't understand why she had to go to Kuwait before she could tell me about it! And it's all happening on 20th September, so I hope her h2b is more organised than me..!

Congrat to your sis!!! My sis was the same leaving it all to the last min before annoucing it and now to think she is a married woman! Her boyfriend (now my brother in law!!!!) organsied everything (getting Gin's stamp of approval before confirming bookins etc) and it turn out great - venue was something else, makes me look like the poor relation! food was great (except for the prawns eyes looking at me from the plate but that's just me hating fish!), music was fab and needless to say Gin looked amazing. Men can organise these things if they really want to!!!

Good luck to your sis and h2b!

Love
Jac

Congratulations to your sister!

Hope her h2b is organised! He will probably really enjoy doing it though, once he gets into it all.

Maybe she didnt tell you because she was worried about what you'd say? If there have been a few probs in the past (about him) then maybe she was a bit worried about / didnt know how to tell you. OR maybe she just wanted to keep the excitement to herself for a bit, let it all sink in before announcing it.

Hope they are both very happy together

Big congratulations to your sister!!

How brave as well to let her h2b do the organising... saying that though, some men do want to get involved etc.... we both organised our wedding & if he'd been left to it Matt would have managed on his own (although things might have been planned but not booked... he did need reminding sometimes)

Keep us updated!

Someone tell me I'm not the only one with a h2b who'd be clueless at planning a wedding?! Ah, to think it could be even worse than me trying to sort this out - I kid you not.
I don't really know why my sis didn't tell me earlier, she announced it to everyone else within earshot from the sound of it! Probably thought I'd call her crazy as they split up last year (after being on and off for a few months) as she thought he was two-timing her... and every time she's spoken about him since it's along the lines of "I'm so glad I don't have to put up with that anymore" etc. But then I don't know how long they've been back together as she only told me last week - just seems a bit like it's all or nothing...
Anyway, hope she won't mind me helping her & her h2b plan it, reckon I'll be hankering for a project once I'm hitched!
