We don't want classical music at our wedding.... the only other tune I'd walk into is 'The wedding song' by Kenny G.... I've not been able to find any other wav files on the net to listen to...
Originally posted by roz I walked in to "fanfare for a common man" by Aaron Copland - which is classical but modern and loud - and out to James Brown - I feel Good.....
What about Les Tois Gymnopedie by Erik Satie? Gymnopedie No1 is my all-time favourite piece of classical music... Yes, I know you didn't want classical but it has a very modern feel to it and definitely fits the dreamy/meditative bill!! It was originally written for the piano but adapts well to the harp and other strings.
Alternatively.... what about an instrumental version of Perfect Day?
We are going for music from Norah Jones for the signing of the register. It has a nice semi slow swing beat to it and some of the songs are very pretty when you listen to the words.
I am afriad I am walking into here comes the bride. My friends are not happy with me and insist they are going to struggle not to laugh. But there you go. I think it is classic, cheesy cool and could not walk down the aisle to anything else.

Hmmm - anything goes! My lovely friend Shelia came in to Louis Armstrong's "We Have All the Time In the World" - I also love his other biggie, "what a wonderful world"
Any good? Very mellow!

Can't be much help with other choices but I have to say......
"The Wedding Song" by Kenny G is totally FANTASTIC!!!
I walked in to it...... was going to be "Canon in D" by Pachabel but once I'd hear Kenny G I was smitten (Still had Pachabel, but when I was signing the register)

Think I'm really, really, really leaning towards the Kenny G song Though I've not heard the full version yet
I listened to Gymnopedie and it was still a bit too classical... we're going with singing songs for the signing of the register and I'll probably not walk out to anything seeing as it's a civil service...
The walk in the room lasted about 20 seconds, BUT they put the music one one I was walking across the courtyard at the hotel....... plus they left it play a little while once I'd got to the front!

I walked out of one room into another (I was civil too) and they seemed to expect me to have a tune - so I did! it took us longer than we thought to get out cos of people congratulating us, and they left it playing whilst the guests left too......

I really like the Kenny G song so I'd be quite happy to have it playing at the end too (also means I don't have to choose another piece of music ) and I really like the idea of not being able to get out of the room, if you know what I mean? I'd be quite happy to have them throw us out so they can set the tables
