Talking Guess what I just did.......

I've just booked a piper for the wedding. We were unsure for a while but decided we really wanted one and it will have all the English guests (all of H2B's!) storming the borders
He has good credentials and has won many competitions. For our money we get:
All guests piped into the church on arrival.
Bride piped in.
Then Bride and Groom piped out followed by all guests.
He then does a runner to the hotel where he pipes in the guests for the champagne reception.
He then waits until we arrive and pipes us into the hotel.
His last duty is to pipe the guests to their seats.
All for the sum of £85. Bargain!
Laura

Would never have guessed you were excited ..

My dads best mate had pipers at his wedding last summer and they were totally fantastic. They really made all the difference, it was wonderful.

I wish there was enough Scottish in me to be able to have a piper

and for my h2b to wear a kilt

Sounds brilliant!

Do you have any idea what tune you want him to pipe?

we had a piper too, it was really nice, esp as we got married outside so he stood by the door and piped for all the guests as they "mingled"

Sounds wonderful. We're having a piper too, it's my fiance's pipe major from the pipe band he plays in. He's brilliant. I love the wedding song they play, Mike had it in the last pipe concert they played at. Highland Cathedral? Scottish Cathedral? Can't remember the name of the piece.
