Default Fantasy Waistcoats

Am I remembering right that someone on here had unhappy dealings with Fantasy waistcoats?

I rang them today to ask about a waistcoat for my dad as I want 'Father of the Bride' on the back and I got the distinct impression that I was below them. The man didn't make my inquiry feel welcome at all.... I don't want to use them on principle now especially as I rang a firm called 'A Vested Interest' before hand and had a really relaxed chat with someone there who actually sounded interested in my inquiry.

I'm all ranted out!

I think it was Jen who was having issues with them -- I'm not totally sure if that was the company. Not good, is it? Keep on going like that & nobody will want to use them.

I had had a really lovely chat with A Vested Interest and she'd raved about how they could paint 'Father of the bride' on the back of a silk waistcoat, we'd even discussed colours etc and price.

Fantasy Waistcoats was completely different.... I asked if they could provide the waistcoat with Father of the Bride printed or painted on the back... he answered rather snootily... 'We could embroider it' As though painting or printing wasn't good enough for them!! Silly people!!

Can't see normal people using them.... maybe they just expect wedding planners or the 'upper' classes to give them custom?!

What's the point of being in business if you can't be bothered being nice ot your customers? Who do these people think they are????

Glad the other company seems nice though.......

Hi Beth,

Yep it was me that was miffed with them. After I sent a snotty email they were a teeny bit nicer (but not much). And I read in their brochure it would be 45 squid + to embroider stuff on the back

Anyway those Vested Interest ones look fab! Do they have a webpage address you could pass me?

Thanks and good luck!

Hi Jen

www.silkstudio.co.uk (I think! )

The artist will paint your waistcoat specially and she quoted £150 for a waistcoat with special painted wording on the back, which I don't think is tooooo bad

I love all of them, but we're leaning towards #1 at the mo as that is the one that will go with my dress the most and she can attach a gold back to it as well

Haven't even had a brochure off Fantasy Waistcoats yet, so they've lost my custom right there!!!
