Help needed.....socks or tights? - Wedding Forum

Hiya all
as you know my little one is flower girl. We have the dress, we have the shoes and we have some white denier tights. BUT I wondered whether fancy short socks might be better? It may look too much with white tights and the dress and white satin shoes. Help!

I think maybe the socks might look better but then the tights would probably look good too. Could you get some socks and then you could get her to try it all on and see what looks the nicest. My cousin got married last year in the middle of summer and had a little flower girl. She wore tights and kept complaining that she was too hot and in the end took them off. If its in the middle of summer she might get a bit warm with tights on.

I love the dress by the way. She will look so cute.

how old is she? I can't remember...if they're really diddy, I reckn socks look better...

I would get her to try it on. With all the netting it would get very hot with tights. But make sure it won't itch her legs if she doesn't have them on. I always think fancy socks look cute too.

Personally I'd say tights but both would look nice.

I'd say tights rather than socks, but then theres more chance of her wanting to take tights off if she gets hot or just bothered by them.

Is she used to wearing tights?

3rd choice - can her shoes be worn without tights or socks?

She will be almost 8. She doesn't really wear tights, only wool ones in the winter for school. I hadn't thought of the fact it maybe warm! I think I will get socks and as suggested try both on!

I think tights look nice - you can get thin ones. And after the photos she can take them off if she's hot.....

I would say socks for a child who is not used to wearing tights...

I hated wearing tights as a child and had to be hoisted into the big ribbed ones every winter

I agree with K - I used to hate the times I would have to wear tights as kid!!! They were always slipping down...mind you at the old age of 30, I seem to have the problem!!! I think little turned down ankle socks looks so cute and girlie!!! Fab dress!

id say maybe buy both try department stores or bridal sales for cheap tights or maybe marks and sparks let me know if you want to troop round glasgow

Thanks Stack. I've actually got white tights for her already and have seen little socks with satin edging. I'm in Glasgow Tuesday afternoon with my BM's looking for shoes!
