I went to see the chap about our cars yesterday, to give him his final payment. I had originally wanted the Mk2 Jaguar (Inspector Morse's car) and the Jaguar XJ6 saloon but changed it to the Silver Shadow Rolls Royce as I felt there was more room in that for me and the dress! Anyway, he still had it booked for the Jaguars. Apparently because it's been booked for a long time he thinks when he transferred it over into his new diary for this year he wrote the original order in, not the amended one. All his other cars except for the Daimler are out on that day!!!
The Mk2 Jaguar is a gorgeous car and he assures me that me and the dress will get in! Oh well, I suppose it could have been worse. I'm not stressed about it just a little disappointed.

Oh Laura, it's horrible when that sort of thing happens.

If it's any consolation, I had a 1950's jaguar and a fairly large skirt on my dress and although it had to be folded a bit, my dress fitted in fine and didn't look the least bit creased when I arrived at the church/reception.

I had an inspector morse car and I found it fine to sit in and my dress did not get creased one bit. I had a bit of trouble getting in and out but no one saw that so it was fine.
