Today I take all the bit and pieces and the cake to the hotel.
After that it's a day of housework! My eldest is off work today and tomorrow so has offered to help me although it shouldn't be too bad as I've gradually been doing things as it would cripple me to do it all in one go!
I'm also going to pack us a small overnight bag for Saturday and 'rough' the bottom of my shoes with sandpaper as they are really smooth and quite slippy. The veil and little one's dress are hung up with the creases dropping out of them fine style, so it's all going to plan.

I need to scratch the bottom of the little uns shoes...they're dangerous those things!!!
All the dresses here are ready. I'm going to have my 30 day leave in contact lenses fitted this afternoon, then get my eyebrows waxed and then my legs. ouch!
I left work yesterday with hellium baloons tied to my wheelchair (got some strange looks and lots of good lucks and congrats) and a big perma grin on my face already!
I cant believe it's happening Laura!

Why is it they make wedding shoes with such smooth soles? Maybe they're funded by "You've Been Framed" and get commission for brides/maids falling over??
When I read about this thread, I thought the title meant it was something to do with the weather! Anyway, looks like the weather's going to be fairly nice for a bit - good news for all you nearly Mrs's
Nikki, yes I'm still loving it but getting a wee bit stressed today.
The weather report for Saturday here is a max 62/17 degrees and cloudy but dry. That will do me nicely!

I just had a question about you being in a wheelchair. I am also in a chair. I have been a para for about 11 years now. I am getting married in Oct of this year and am having trouble finding a dress that fits with my chair. I was just curious what kind of dress you had. Was it a two piece? If you can give me any help. I would appreciate it. Thanks a lot katie Korn
Sorry to interupt, as I can't remember what Niddy's dress looked like to be perfectly honest, but I do remember that her wedding photos were fantastic. I am sure that she will be along soon with advice.
I had a 2-piece dress, plain a-lined skirt and a bodice
I tried on loadsa different types - including ones that went out more but they just looked too much and poofed up if that makes sense!
here's a couple of pics
