Well I have (finally) found a hair stylist who is willing to come to my hotel to do our hair on The Day I hope she is ok, I've left it soooo late and if she is crap might find it hard to find someone else.
My appointmnet is 8:15 am tomorrow Had to be early though cos I am taking my man away for a dirty weekend for his b-day (was yesterady) Sorrt if thats TMI.
I have sent her pics of what I want. I am not a curles sort of gal (I dont think anyway..) and I'd like my hair to be like the pic below.
Bit worried about going by myself, I have spoken to the woman on the phone and she sounds nice but quite forceful. I'll just have to be firm with her if I dont like something (not my strong point!)
No idea about the pins - give her a call and see!
I really love the pic - you are even going to look more stunning (if that is possible!). Can you fax the pics to her? this will a) let her know what you are looking for in advance and b) let her know that you know what you want and will not be swade on it.
If she gets to arsy, just think of the woman in reception today...that should do the trick!
Also, don't forget to let your hair down (literally!) before h2b sees you...you don't want to give him any clues as to what you will look like on the day!
I posted the pics to her, loing with a copy of a pic of me from the back so she can see how long my hair is (it was actually a copy of a photo from Cupids hen!).
I'll be tough
Thanks, am really looking forward to the weekend away. It's the only weekend we have alone before the wedding
She should provide the pins Bee! I've never had to provide pins for an updo and I've had quite a few.
Are you taking along a picture of the dress? I've found that hairdressers like to see it so that they can see how the style will suit the dress (and to coo over it too)
oh i love hair like that your going to look fabby how did it go anyway?
enjoy your weekend wondered why you hadn't txt me back

My little ginger man speaks spanish!!
My hair looked fab! I couldnt believe it was me (I've never had my hair put up properly).
It took her about 40 minutes to do, but she said it woule take longer on the day. The only worrying thing is, it started to fall out very quickly, within about an hour of me leaving the salon.
I am going to have a hair cut there on the 28th, so I'll mention this then.
It should be fine on the day.... when I had my trial it was the same, but she had warned me! For the trial they quite often don't use as many grips as they will on the day PLUS they hardly use hairspray!
I remember on the day there was no way my hair was going to come loose, I had enough grips to start a world shortage and I think she used so much hairspray it became like superglue!!
Mention it though when you get your trim & she'll be prepared to used the "Scaffolding pins" & the Superglue hairspray!
Glad it went well though, can't wait to see the finished design!
