Default Music-Reading and Vows!

Hi

Had a bust weekend-decided on our readings and music and wrote our vows....what do you think?

Reading
If in the morning when you wake,
The sun does not appear,
I will be here.
If in the dark we lose sight of love,
Hold my hand and have no fear,
I will be here.

I will be here,
When you feel like being quiet,
When you need to speak your mind I will listen.
Through the winning, losing, and trying we'll be together,
And I will be here.
If in the morning when you wake,
The future is unclear,
I will be here.
As sure as seasons were made for change,
Our lifetimes were made for years,
I will be here.

I will be here,
And you can cry on my shoulder,
When the mirror tells us we're older.
I will hold you, to watch you grow in beauty.

And tell you all the things you are to me.
We'll be together and I will be here.
I will be true to the promises I've made,
To you and to the one who gave you to me.
I will be here.

I will be here by Steven Curtis Chapman

Music
Processional-Trumpet Voluntary- Prince of Denmark's March
Signing of Register-Canon in D-Pachebel

Vows

Sarah receive this ring
as a token of my love and our marriage
a symbol of all that we have promised
and all that we now share
with this ring I give you my love
as we journey through life together
I will seek to bring you stability and order in this chaotic world

then-
Superindentant- Will you, the friends and family of Sarah and Peter, support them in their marriage, lend them every help in t heir life together and be a constant reminder of the vows they have made here today?
Congregation- We will

What do you think?

Fantastic

We have similar music to you, walking in to Trumpet Voluntary- Prince of Denmark's March and walking out to Canon in D-Pachebel

Whenever I hear Prince of Denmark's March the hairs on the back of my neck all stand up! I am so sad that sometimes i even listen to it at work on the PC

Your reading is really meaningful. Your vowes are ly

That sounds like a lovely combination of reading, music & the vows really are lovely!

I'm another "Canon in D" girl, makes me smile every time I hear it!

Hi

That is the same reading as we are using. How did you pick your music? I'm not sure what to walk up/down the aisle to...?? We don't even know if we are having an organist (I know, I know I have 10 months to decide!) as we don't have to meet with the minister until 3 months before...is that enough time?

Thanks
jen xx

Thats cool, I've never seen anyone else with that reading before-when ever I look at it I get a lump in my throat its so honest isn't it?

We just listened to loads of CDs and pieces of music, wrote down all we liked and then decided-but I got a lot of ideas from Groovy (of course!)

You've got plenty of time. Just one word of advice-don't leave it too long as you don't want to rush it and pick something for the sake of it......start keeping an ear open now and then by the time you will know-3 months before is fine I'd say!

Let us know!!

Sarah
