I know that the girls are up to something (well a lot of something) for my hen night this week end, which is neing organised by my (genarally brilliant) CBM so I want to be armed and ready for them!!
And here's where you may be able to help me ...any tips for cheap and cheerful things I can do to them (7 others) - I've bought a tiara with Chief Bridesmaid on it with flashing lights for CBM. What if I just bought things along for her to wear so that I'm not alone looking silly???
Any idea gratefully received.
p.s. they tell me that hen/stag nights and dressing up etc are banned in Dublin - any one else heard this or are they having me on???

Ah, Lo is the queen of Hen Night party bags!
For Claire's , she supplied us all with little fluffy deelybppers which looked SO cool, plus a wee party bag with sweeties in it, and a few streamers and a balloon.. it was great!
Something like that would make them all feel good and not break the bank.
No idea about the Dublin thing, I'm sure my SIL went there!
Have fun!

Sorry - can't help you regarding buying stuff for then hen but can let you know the score on Dublin.
You are better off not letting door men know you are on a hen! Say it is your birthday or something!! They are a bit more easier on hen night than stags but all the same, better safe than sorry.
Also, Dublin is not the cheapest of places...the same as London...and has been stated as being the most expensive city in Europe. I haven't been for years granted but Bee did go there for her hen a couple of months back so she would be able to give better advise.
If you want to go to Ireland, I would recommend anywhere but Dublin due to costs and attitude to hens and stags.

Deelyboppers are those antennae you put on your head that are fixed on a headband - I assume they have another name but I remember them as deelyboppers in the early 80s....... Showing my age there!

I organised Cupid's hen night, and as NIkki says organised some fun bags. I went to a party shop and bought a big bag of party blowers, balloons, streamers, party poppers etc and put them in some "Bang of the Door Groovy Chick" party bags I found at my local Tesco's! (and they were purple too!) I also got the haribo fun size sweets, and I REALLY wanted to get bubbles but couldn't fin any!
Anyway, I got white fluffy deelyboppers for the Chicks. I got them from my local fancy dress shop. It certainly helped us all keep track of each other as we wandered round London!

My excuse is that I'm Welsh and we had a different word for those head things!!
Thanks all for your help. I got the girls some party bags with love hearts, lillipops, matching plastic party cups and straws for sipping champagne and little coin purses each. They loved the idea! I also bought some party coronets from woolies but we didn't wear those as we wanted to avoid looking like a hen party. Good tip not to say/look as if we were on a hen do - we said that we were on a shopping trip! I've posted more info about the hen do on another thread so won't be boring and repeat it here!!
Thanks again.
