As part of my hen day I'm gonna go for afternoon tea
One of my BMs has investigated the following places and my favourites are the top two. Has anyone been or know people who have been to any of them?
Athenaeum Hotel (from pastries through to the full works)
The Park Lane Hotel (I’m a bit taken with the Palm court)
Browns Hotel
Fortnum and mason’s
The Four Seasons Hotel
Claridges
Lansborough Hotel
The Savoy
The Ritz

After lots of help our little born on 28th Jan 2008
when I kiss you goodnight I will
hold you a little tighter, a little longer. It is then, that I will thank
God for you, and ask him for nothing,
Can't really help as I've never been to any of them. My mum and dad had afternoon tea at the park lane hotel and said it was totally fab. I will have to make sure I get invited next time.

Some days it just isnt worth chewing through the leather straps in the morning!
I've been to Brown's twice and it was very nice, but the second time I felt a bit jipped cos we didn't get a plate of victoria sponge cake like we did the first time!
It costs about £27 per person and for that money, I don't think you can do the food justice. You can't eat enough to be worth it. Having said that, the atmosphere is fantastic there, so it is worth it just for that!
Hope you have a fab time wherever you decide to go.

Ladylike & refined is soooooo me & my friends
There's people I want to come to my Hen do that don't have alot of money to play with so I wanted just a day and I'm splitting it into two things so the girls have the option to do one or both things. In the day the afternoon tea I thought was good for Mums & Auntie & the evening we're hiring a private karaoke room which is really cheap for boozing & eating (& NO I have never done karaoke before so that should be interesting!!)
thanks for all your suggestions, I'll let you know what we decide on

We went to the Ritz for my friend's hen-do and it was really lovely. We had a problem with the bill - about five people paying with credit cards, one wanting the food on one and the booze on another and the waiter got all confused and put the wrong amounts on the cards etc. They were sooooo apologetic about it though and gave us a bottle of champagne to take away with us which we drank in the park.
The food was really beautiful and the ambience perfect, the staff were adorable and we had a fabulous time.
