I'm sorry - think I've been letting the side down a bit lately.
I've tried to make up for it a bit tonight...
You're definitely not alone. I've still got loads to do. (As well as a lot of economising as we're spending a bit more than originally anticipated!!)
Look forward to sharing some more wedding experiences along the long road to the big day!

Well my dress has come in but I haven't been able to go and see it yet..... going to the first fittings of the bridesmaids dresses tomorrow. My dad and H2B are going to sort out the last of the suits tomorrow...... we think we found a florist during the week, just waiting for a quote but they were really nice and knew exactly what we wanted...... finished most of the day invites yesterday, just got to go and buy the envelopes.....
All I can say girlies is enjoy your planning time and pace yourself because it gets really busy the closer you get (I'm knackered!!)
Hopefully I'll have some piccies to show soon......still haven't been able to show any of you my dress yet!!
87 days to go!!!
So how's everyone else doing??
Gilli

I'm planning too but with 12 months to go I have loads of time.
I think I am starting to bore my friends though and really need to be able to come up with other topics of conversation.

The plans
Hi there, as a newbie, im still tryin to find my way about ere, but not doing too badly, i think!! Ive still got plenty planning to do, if the offer of help is still on the go! Got a theme for the tables but dont know how to pull it off, seating arrangements as petes(h2b)mom n dad both re-married :gasm: and the 2 moms dont get on! So, no top table, aargh. No idea what kind of flowers/bouquets to have to colour co-ordinate with b-maids, need i go on. Hell yes, cant find a suitable tiara(cheap cheap) to go with my short hairstyle, which will prob b shorter come the wedding b'coz of all the pulling out im doin now, lol. Any suggestions would b greatly appreciated and either a post here or e-mail would b v.gr8. Many thanks for a life-savin forum!

Don't worry about the whole top table thing, we aren't having a traditional top table arrangement either. Both mine and Toms parents are separated and have new partners so we are just having myself and Tom on the top table along with the best man and his wife, my BM and her partner and one of the ushers and his partner.
What theme have you decided on, could you tie in the flowers and BM's with it? And as for your tiara maybe you could have a go at making one

Sorry I didn't answer you Rools, I completely didn't notice your question!
My date is hopefully going to be the 30th of July 2005, we are off to see the vicar tonight to talk about things so I'm hopping he still has that date free
And as for my dress, I got carried away and have already bought it

Theme
What weve decided on is to have all the tables named after Scottish Castles and were thinking of gold card cut in2 shapes of crowns to put round napkins, namecards could have a little gold embossed castle at the corner with small tartan ribbon at other end, and are still trying to find something like a calendar with pics of all the castles weve kinda listed down and could cut em out, laminate em and put on wee crocodile clips? My b-maids dresses r pale pinky/lilac, if i had a digicam id show y'al, so ideally the flowers need to be pink and lilac, but gotta have the traditional Scottish Thistle in them(minus the jaggy bits!!) Neither b-maid wants the wee posy style flowers and iv seen 2 many i like for me, lol. Its nice to moan bout these things to you lot, my h2b kinda switches off wen i start ranting on , But if you can think of anything or other ideas to do with castles, let me know.

Hi Angi.
I love the castle theme for your wedding, I think it sounds fab. Your colour scheme sounds a bit like mine - my BM had a purple/lavender dress (purple is my fave colour, hence the colour scheme for Groovy ) and my dress was white but because I couldn't find any purple flowers I liked we went for white. We had arum lillies and white roses. Quite simple but very effective. I think I might have put some pictures up in the smug married forum but you'd have to search back a bit for them.
