Had such a productive weekend (LONG!!) - Wedding Forum

Got such a lot of wedding things done this weekend, here goes!

- Tried wedding dress on (well, the one in the shop which is the same size I ordered) with my underwear & shoes, which both go perfectly!
- Women in shop said I should have ordered a smaller size as I have lost so much weight - hooorraahh - celebrated with a cake & latte in Starbucks!!
- Bought a lovely sparkly chiffon stole / wrap - got £20 off as last one in the shop
- Bought BM present - silver bangle, which I might have to keep!!
- Bought mums present - 'wedding day' glass paperweight (she will love it, although its not really my type of thing!!)
- Almost decided on Bestmans present - pewter hipflask
- Bought present for relative coming over from America just for the wedding (an English tea thingy!!)
- Decided that we are going to give all day guests a lottery scratch card - each with a different picture of me & H2B at various ages!
- Decided to buy my dad & FIL2B bottle each
- Made appointment to see wedding venue again & registrar

And I think thats just about it!! So pleased everything seems to be coming together now!

What have the rest of you been up to this weekend??

Hi Kate,

Sounds like you've had a brilliant weekend! Well done!

We managed to sort out the suits - all deposits are paid now. But its tricky because some people are going into different branches to get measured up (and we'll collect the suits from our branch in Richmond). My FIL has decided to go in his tartan too - so that should be a giggle and it was one less suit to hire!

I'm really stuck about what to buy for my BMs etc. Any suggestions?

What ages?
My 25yr old I bought that lovely silver bangle, not sure what to get the 8yr old pageboy though (probably Harry Potter dvd actually!)
For little girls how about jewelery, photoframe, cd, tickets to a concert, 'lush' smellies??

You sound like you have had a more productive weekend than me! hehehe!! I did have a good day on Saturday mind, I cleared out one wardrobe in the wall that had a load of my old toys (just can't bear to part with them!!) in it and put them in the loft and put all my shoes in the bottom of it instead. And I cleared out Martins draw for him, had all my wedding stuff in it. He is home next weekend so needs it back again, thank god it is only for a weekend then I can put it all back again until May!!! lol

But today I have done nothing but drink wine and sit and watch telly, had a lazy day!! Pleased you have all made progress!!!
