Embossing - Silly question!! - Wedding Forum

Hi everyone,

Probably a really stupid question but what should happen when you are embossing. I tried it last night because i have read a few messages saying that it looks really good so i thought that i would give it a go for our invites.

However i followed the instructions precisely but nothing really magical happened. I means it looks really nice but i looks as if i have just spinkled some ink with fine purple glitter. Have i done something wrong or is that how it is supposed to turn out. :confused:

Am i being silly?!?!

did you put it under the grill/ blow it with a hairdryer?

Agree with Roz... it needs to be heated so that the bit you are trying to emboss raises up.

Yeah, i held it over the stove giving an equal amount of heat to the image and nothing seemed to happen...should it have risen, i can't seem to imagine what it should have looked like.

The sparkles should sort of melt into each other....
