Default Flowers - Again

Just thought I would share with you all that I have finally ordered my flowers.

I am having phalenopsis orchids all round! Some are white, some are white with red middles and some are purple. (there goes my silver and ice blue theme!! )

Dead excited though, they are gonna look gorgeous!

Unfortunately, I don't have any piccies cos the florist just drew little sketches to show me how they would go.

Charli xx

They're really beautiful flowers. Are you keeping it quite simple, so you can see the shape of the flowers, or just going for impact?

I'm keeping it simple so you can see the shape of the flowers but we are having them everywhere.

I am really pleased with how much the florist has quoted too. (I am using the florist from the local college)

My bouquet will be made up of about 6 stems of the white with red centre ones, and a couple of purple ones with some bear grass. The bridesmaids are having purplw with bear grass.

I have also ordered table centres and an arrangement for the top table, which when the florist sketched it looked huge!

I go to college one day a week and on Valentines day last year she was there with a small stall. I just asked her then if she does weddings and we arranged to meet and talk about it.

It costs less because they're a non-profit organisation.

And the woman that is doing mine is so enthusiastic.

I can't speak for other colleges but I think it would be worth looking into.

Default flowers

hello Charli
Flowers sound great, are you using the florist from Leigh college ?
Just wondering as I have sorted nothing out yet as I was ment to be getting married in the Lakes but it all went wrong. I am living in Surrey but I am from Atherton and that is where I am getting married and maybe it would be worth calling your florist.
Aloso have you sorted out a photographer yet and could you recommend someone as i am having real difficulty finding someone as i am down south. Sorry to be a pain but have you beebn to Brides of leigh is it worth a vist as i only have one day top shop for my dress?
By the way my cousin had her wedding at Kilhey Court, and it was fantastic you made a goood choice
thanks for any advice you can give me

Hi Emma,

Wow, someone that knows where Leigh is! That is so rare! Heheheh!!

Well ur braver than me organising from down south! I am pretty useless up here!

The florist is from St Helens College and her name is Jayne Snape. I can sort out her number for you if you like. (I haven't got it with me today though.) I would definately recommend her so far but I will let you know after 8th June what the flowers were like.

We are using a photographer from near Kilhey Court called Raymond Thomas. I found him advertised on another website cos he has won awwards and stuff. He is really nice too, we had an engagement shoot before xmas so that we could get used to him too. (That was free, but then that is cos he knows you will buy some of the piccies) Otherwise you could try Simon John in Leigh. Not really sure of any others but if you want me to find out for you I will be happy to do so.

I have only really been to Brides of Leigh once and that was only to look at bridesmaid dresses. I got my dress from a shop in Bryn in Wigan. I know someone that has been to Brides of Leigh though and she said the stuff there is nice.

Really glad you think Kilhey Court is nice, I'm so excited now!

If you need any more help or want to ask me anything just let me know. You're not being a pain, I would love to help.

Speak to you soon
Charli x
