I've chosen pink because it is my favourite colour, but also because we are marrying by the sea, I have picked a shell pink, like the colour inside a conch shell. We will have lots of shells in the decorations. And there are also lots of pink flowers.

I am having silver and purple.
The choice was kind of taken out of my hands because I couldn't have the bridesmaids dresses in the ice blue that I wanted but it is probably a good thing because the flowers I want come in purple anyway. (And I was taking forever to make up my mind! )

We chose our colours scheme by accident
H2b's car is his pride and joy (MGB) so it had to be Green & something. When i started looking at frocks I ended up with a gold one so our colour scheme became dark green & gold.
Which is perfect as we are having a celtic wedding

My dress is ivory.

My colour scheme is Emerald Green & Cream/Ivory
Seeing as I'm wearing an Emerald Green dress I thought it might be a good theme to work from!

We are having pink, silver and ice blue. We chose the colours because we are having a spring wedding and they seem to work well with the flowers available.

Don't really know why I decided to have red as my colour.
I think it all started with the fact that all I new was that I wanted to wear really dark red lipstick
so I'm wearing ivory and my Bmaids are wearing dark, red satin outfits ( skirt, top and stole). I'm having dark red roses with ivy for my bouquet, and they're having cream roses and ivy in a wrist corsage.
I'm also now thinking about trying to give the day a forties/fifties era feel to the day ( we're having a disco so the music at night may be a bit off at a tangent with that idea ). My wedding car's a 1950's humber imperial so that fits in, and my dress could kinda fit in as it's a ballgowny type thing, and I want my hair in a top roll ( gwen steffani has it in the hey baby video). We were even thinking of naming the tables after 'goddesses of the silver screen' like Veronica Lake, Rita Heyworth etc. Guess I'm just gona have to keep wortking the ideas out though

I'm another lilac an silver (with a touch of ice blue on my dress and on the tables!) - my fave colurs and I thought it would make the day feel fresh and bright.
Melissa and Cupid - why not have a look at some peoples wedding pics - www.ultimatewedding.com have alot of users own stories posted there somewhere (also might be worth trying www.theknot.com) - and you might get some ideas from them. Bit make sure you come back to us! Failing that, I would take into account your personal faves, the season you are getting married, and the type of venue you are having.

Cupid - that sounds lovely.
Melissa - are you a warm or a cold person? For instance I'm a cold person; I wear only silver or white gold jewellery, white looks better on me than ivory, etc. Little things like that will head you towards the right schemes. Then it's just finding the exact colour you like the best. How about looking at sites for bridesmaids dresses (doesn't matter if your having any or not) to get ideas? You'll see the sorts of ranges available, and if your having a bridesmaid it might even be a deciding factor.

Cupid, my tiara's got blue bits in too!!!!
That's why I've had to have silver accessories, which is actually quite nice, cause normally I wear gold!
