All sorted...in one week! - Wedding Forum

I am done...almost
last week on a trip to Scotland We sorted:
photographer- Glenn Spiteri mostly B/W reportage (yea)
cake- Julie Bremner- Cheesecake covered in white chocolate flowers and fruit with raspberry and hot fudge sauce on the side.
table decorations- IKea- mirrors flat on table top coverd with square candles in blue and pale green, and square boxes each filled with a differnt flower or fruit in white, blue and pale green.. (peonies, callas, blueberries,green grapes etc)
Reception meals, table set up, nanny for any kids, and a day room for any drunks.
the band- Hell for Leather plays celidh and rock.
the Piper- Drew, (gordie had to have one)
the hair & makeup- andrea & cherry
the flowers- Julie Broon will dcorate the church , reception tables, and bring her clydesdale for photo opp.
champagne- M&S great deal, for garden reception at the fascadail www.stayatlochlomand.com/fascadail/ (knock wood it doesn't rain)

still need to find...
a marquee hire and possibly a place to rent 50 umbrellas...

phew

could be he said he was born in the bronx although he has lived in Scotland since he was 5. Us is a big country though. We thought it was an unusual name for a Scot... yes I think I will have that tea. Thanks!

Brilliant - YOu ought to go into business - it has taken me a month and i am no where near as done as you are....mind you that may have something to do with the fact that i have brought everything forward 3 months and had to phone everyone again and change the dates!! Tee hee

mind you I didn't have more than one week to work with as if the plane left without me I'd be in big trouble...

It was about 3 monthe of research and emails with vendors to set up one week of appointments and 9 hours on a plane with Gordie's undivided attention to make all the choices...

Now does anyone know where I can hire 50 umbrellas and a marquee near Glasgow???
