Question Cuba in June - Honeymoons

Hi Guys

Over the past couple of weeks we have been thinking about where to go for our honeymoon. I picked up a few brochures over the weekend and we got to really like the idea of Cuba (sun, sea and sand really helped!). We read on and I looked it up on the net and we have realised that we would be going right in the middle of hurricane and rainy season (June)!!!

I was speaking to a friend in work who is getting married in August and she is going to Cuba (around about the same rainy season) and the travel agent told her that they will probably get a bit of rain but not very much - there would be more sun. Though I don't know whether to trust the travel agent or not.

So...have any of you ever been to Cuba in June and if so, what was it like ??

If not, where are you going/did you go as we really don't have a clue where to go! Any recommendations would be helpful.

Thanks
Jen xx

Have never been to Cuba so can't really help but it looks lovely. You could try looking up some info on the net and try and find out just how rainy it is likely to be. I think its also worth remembering that each year can be different so even if there wasn't much rain last year in June, it could pour down every day this year.

We're going to the Maldives in October and I've looked it up on the net and the weather is pretty much the same all year round but it might be a bit more rainy from august to november. Hopefully not too much though.

When I spoke to our travel agent he said that if you are going away during our summer and you want somewhere hot and sunny then you need to go somewhere in the northern hemisphere as it will be summer there too. How about mexico or Florida both of which are supposed to be lovely all year round.

Hope you manage to find something you like.
