Default Hen Weekend - what can we do in the day?

We are staying in a cottage - its a big massive country cottage which has a local pub and a restuarant nearby but not much more.

what can we do in the day to keep us entertained indoors if its raining?? We will be hungover and i want "free" things to do.

I thought about taking loads of board games and cards but that is only going to keep us entertained for a bit before we get bored.

Any ideas on what other free things we can do before we get ready for the evenings action !! (bearing in mind we will have horrific hangovers )

Take a Playstation? Video/DVD player and watch chick flicks? Twister? Play hide and seek? Cooking? Take some cheap tacky kiddies make-up game and see who can apply the worst make-up?

I've kept it clean, yay me!

You're missing out with the Playstation, you can get some sort of dance mat now and do Karioke dancing or something very chick-like.

Charades?

Mud wrestling, now there's an idea. We'll be needing photos if that comes off

There's a "kiss chase" variation on the hide and seek theme, Sardines. I'm getting more and more smutty as I go on here aren't I

The board games and videos sound like a good idea.

How about taking some things to pamper yourselves with for the day. Things like face packs etc and you could do each other's finger and toe nails.

Take a few bottles of wine and have a good old natter too.

Pampering sounds good - i think we'll have to give the wine a miss though. I doubt anyone will feel like drinking before 5pm as we are planning massive parties each night and drinking late into the night.

at karoke dance mat. I'm 28 not 8. Anyway - thats far far too energetic.

Kiss chase? I'll mention it to the girls and see what they think - although I'm sure they might ask me if im really sure i want to marry a man............

Iagree with the whole 'pampering thing' and chick flicks are a must. But i also agree with J (not the smutty bits - behave Mr S-W) about the Playstation dancemats etc. My mum got one for xmas and she loves it, it is such a laugh. really really good fun especially when there's loads of you.

Where abouts are you going? Is it nice scenery?

You could go for walks (slow ones bearing the hangovers in mind) and bring picnics with rellay yum food in and it can be lardy too if you are walking as it's exercise right?

Loads of magazines, bitching about peope you don't like, videos including ones of fit blokes jumping about the screen covered in blood, lots of pampering products..will it be warm? lots of sunbathing

Erm....when's my invite arriving anyway you cow?

Oooh, some FAB idea's there!

If I were you, I'd definitely want to do lots of pampering, have one or two fab chick flicks and some delicious food than even hang overs can't keep away from!

Sounds like you are going to have such a brilliant time!

PS. Where's my invite too?! LOL

I really like the idea of a "Girlie Wedding Film Session"...... especially if the weather is a bit on the rubbish side......

Just think, you can have wine & nibbles etc..

Hen day? Im having five hen days in May Im too greedy to just have one !!! We are staying in the cottage for five days - Im so excited now its all booked.

Im like a little kid - i dont think anyone will come nearer the time though because I keep bothering and annoying everyone by sending emails saying "look again at the cottage, how beautiful is it?" "check out the swimming pool" and getting all over excited. They are like " WE KNOW, WE HAVE SEEN IT, GO AWAY"

Cheers for all your replies - looks like a video fest is the clear winner !!
