Default Burnt Orange BM dresses

Hello Girls and Boys

Someone posted a link a while ago and it had the most beautiful burnt orange BM dress on it...in a tafettta material with a bustle on the back of it...i think it was from a shop perhaps down south? I can't for the life of me find it...anyone got any ideas?

Is it this one? 8042 on this page http://www.weddingdaysofcheltenham.c...s/8042_jpg.htm My sister's having this one, except in lilacy pink. It's so beautiful in orange, but didn't fit our colour scheme.

Am new here, so don't know if I've done that right!!

Hello! Thank you for your welcome! Glad I could help. This dress is so beautiful in that colour - my sister looked lovely in it, but we'd already decided the colours for our wedding, so we chose a different colour. You can have it in an iridescent material so it shines different colours depending on which way you look at it. We chose a lilac/pink.

Our wedding is in July this year in Cheltenham, can't wait - so excited. I seem to spend half of my life on wedding forums - can't believe I haven't seen this one before!

Virgin Brides in Manchester also had/have this dress.

This is the dress we chose assuming I do it right - my sister just needs to have the final fitting!

Thanks for posting that pic Ellie, it's a beautiful dress...is your sis wearing a petticoat underneath...in the photo they bunch it up and make it look fuller don't they? Also can i be nosy and ask where you bought it from and how much it was? Thank you hon

Have you got a pic of your dress?

Are you ready for this.... it cost just over £200 from Wedding Days of Cheltenham. Ouch. Mum's paying for it, not me. At least she can wear it again. The one in Virgin Brides in Manchester was marginally cheaper. They do little versions for younger girls as well, which cost about £130. My little ones are not having these!! I've got three and I just couldn't afford it.

I haven't seen her in this one yet, but from what I remember it bunches/flows out from the waist quite a bit- the bodice is quite tight. The skirt is quite full I think. But she might have a petticoat as well, I'm not sure. Otherwise, I'll get her to walk around holding it round her waist like the girl in the picture... although if she drinks too much, she might do that anyway.

http://www.helenrodrigues.com.au/tracy_helena.html - this is my dress, but it's a totally rubbish picture. There is beading all around the top and bottom of the bodice and the skirt is fuller than it looks in the picture. I can't wait to wear it, it's a good job it won't be ready for ages, otherwise I'd be sat here in it! I got my necklace from Marks and Spencer's in the sale, it had £20 off and it matches the tiara I chose perfectly. All sparkly!

Have you chosen your dress yet?

Found some more suppliers - it's from the Anu Pam classic collection if that helps at all.

Your dress is beautiful Ellie, so elegant.

I am going to see if I can find material like that and then get the dresses made, I have lots of time after all. I haven't chosen my dress yet, I want to try loads on first. x

Thank you!

I can't wait to wear it, I'm almost tempted to go in other shops and pretend to be looking again so I can try it on - ha ha. I tried to see if I could get the bridesmaid dress cheaper from America, but no luck. Anyway, you'll be able to get exactly what you want if you get it made - they'll be unique and beautiful! I still think £200 is way too expensive, but it looked so perfect on her and at least she can wear it again!!

You'll have so much fun trying on all the wedding dresses! Good Luck.

Ellie
