For months me and Jonathan had planned to have our wedding ceremony at Washington Old Hall, a historical building which is very romantic...
We picked this as Jonathan isn't religious, even though I am. I don't go to church every week ~ but I do go from time to time. Also it was the first venue we looked at and got booked...
After months of being happy with it etc, it finally dawned on me that I really did want a church wedding... I spoke it through with my mum, who is abit of strong catholic etc... and she got quite emotionally happy at the thought of a church wedding.
Jonathan say's he is now okay with a church wedding and hadn't realised how much I wanted to be married in a church.
I think since the passing of his nana he has found abit of comfort in church than what he previously had.
So... anyway... that leads me to say that Jonathan is going to ring some churches in our chosen area, so I am ever so happy and excited about it all.
And like my mum said, you only get married once!

Ah that's nice. I think it is important that you both have the wedding your really want, and it sounds like you'll both be very happy with your new plans! Like you said, you'll only be doing it once!
Will you loose your deposit on the place you had already booked?
Awww I'm really pleased for you!
I had always set my heart on a church wedding as I am Catholic but had previously been married. As it happens I had become a Catholic then married in a registry office, so in the eyes of the church they didn't accept that I had ever been married and I got the wedding that meant so much to me.
I hope you all have a fabulous day!

I am so happy for you!!! Just because you may not go to mass on a weekly bases does not mean you are not worthy of a church wedding - it is what is in your heart that counts and you actions!
Very very happy for you! Bet you mum is very pleased also - could also be her dream coming true!!!
I think I still have copies of my readings etc if you wanna have a look at them? Mind you, they are personal and not obviously wedding related but let me know if you would like a look!
