Hello
Hi,
I thought I'd come and have a look on here and see what it is like. I normally go on hitched and sometimes c o n f e t t i but to be honest c o n f e t t i is a bit of a pain as the threads don't get bounced to the top when someone replies (do they here?)
I'm getting married 06/08/05 (Hi Rooley, my twinnie) in Northants. My venue is www.whittleburyweddings.com
Is there anyone else getting married on this date or at this venue?

Welcome to Groovy!!
You're wedding venue looks really gorgeous!! I'm Karen, and I'm getting married on 23rd April next year... can't wait.
I'm sure you'll really love it on this forum, I've tried and tested most of the others, but they don't compare to here at all.
Yes, replied to threads do go to the top of the page (well at least underneath any stickies)
Looking forward to hearing more about you, your husband to be and your wedding plans.
Hugs, Karen-x

Hi Decords yes, we are getting married in the Orangery. To be honest I think it is nicer in "real life". When we booked it was summer and there were nice flowers and plants everywhere so it looked really nice, I think some of those piccies were maybe taken in winter.
Erm...details.....we are getting married at 16.00, having a civil ceremony followed by dinner and a disco later. I haven't done much planning, I'm trying to save some until summer as I know I will change my mind about some things. So far we have booked the venue, registrar (provisionally) dj and hotel rooms for the night.
Where are you all getting married?

WOW
I love Orangerys' (spl!) but we couldn't find one near us when we got wed-we did it at Downing College in Cambridge (you can see pictures on the link in my signiture)
When you see somewhere you fall in love with and can imaging yourself getting married you know its right-thats how we felt with our venue.
We had a very similar days as you are planning
Civil Ceremony at 3.30 etc, then had a Didgeridoo player on the lawn after dinner as a surprise for everyone (including my Hubbie as he proposed in Australia)
God totally waffling sorry
By the way-you may find yourself addicted to this place-a lot of us haven't left since getting married!

I think venues always look so much better in real life anyway, photo's never really capture what the eyes do.. (if that makes sense?!)
Have you decided on colour theme yet?
Don't worry about changing your mind, I often do that!
So far we are changing the venue of where we are having ou ceremony ~ I now want a church wedding instead. Will only lose a £50 deposit.
We're having our reception at Lumley Castle ~ here's a piccie.

We went to visit him over xmas (only second time I had been there), it seems quite a nice place, although he said it is a bit boring as there is no local pub to go to.
Lou, I have just realised that you are the same Lou on ******** that I asked if they lived in Radlett. I am originally from St Albans but live in leics now. My sister lives in Radlett though so I go there quite a lot and all my family still live in St Albans.
I read your h2b propsed in Rhodes, that's where I met my h2b. Although it wasn't a "holiday romance" as such as we didn't get together until we got back. We have been together 5 yrs now.
Have you & your h2b always lived in Shenley?

Hi I'm new too! Been tempted over from the Hitched camp! (That's Rooley's fault, as if I don't spend enough time on this damn computer as it is!)
