Hi Ocean
I tried on a HUGE hollywood dreams dress...massive massive skirt on it...have you got a massive wide aisle to fill hon?
You could always make a skirt larger by wearing a bigger petticoat to pad it out?

Any aline dress cna be made bigger by the use of a good hoop! But I think Ian Stewart does some excellent but pricey huge dresses with lots of froth....... when I got wed I was planning on a sleek simple frock and ended up in the most ridiculous dress in history! I love a big frock!

I thought that Nikki, oh I'll go all sleek and elegant and like the lovely decords (in my dreams)
and then the ten year old in me took over and the skirts got bigger and bigger hehe

Fab dresses. I tried on a huge meringue a while ago and looked really daft. I think you need to be really tall and skinny to get awy with something like that, not a short little dumpling like me.

Yep, the first one was my dress (and I loved it!) If you meant larger sized dresses, then Ian Stuart (and his Sincerity line) go up to 28 (US 28, so more like a UK 30). There's no extra cost for this (at least with the Ian Stuart line).
I don't think that you need to be model-esque to carry off a big dress/skirt. It depends on your actual body shape. I'm 5'4" and roughly an hourglass (very hefty too) and the only shape that suited me was a corset top & big skirt. Based on my size, most shops were bundling me into empire line dresses which looked utterly hideous. Besides.... I really do think that that dress demands a busty wearer.... its got a busty French courtesan look to it (would have said milkmaid - but what milkmaid could afford it?)!

I thought I wanted a sleek dress a la Decords too (but wouldnt have looked half as good!) but when I tried mine on, I just fell in love. Ive got a hoop for under it too and although its not the hugest of dresses, its big enough! Its the one time ill get to wear a 'big' dress so was pleased it didnt look stupid on me!!

I have to post THE dress (although it doesn't look as good on the other pic of a real bride in it as it does on the model)
