Default Been to Wedding Fayre

We've been to the wedding fayre where Andrew works and I have to say I'm impressed. We've been there loads for meals but have never been in the marquee but it's gorgeous! It looks small from outside but once inside it's massive with a nice bar and loads of room.

I saw the most gorgeous red dress but didn't make too much of a thing of looking at it because Brian was with me. It was all local suppliers which was good we didn't even know there was a photographer in the village!

Only a couple of pushy people there as well - one who was pushing us to book a coach for guests at a cost of £150 and telling us to charge guests for coming to our wedding!!!! and another who was pushing her venue but wouldn't tell us where it was lol. She was busy gathering up a pack for us but just wouldn't tell us where they were - turns out they were in a place we'd never have even considered as it's way too far away.

We did have a venue in York but when we found out my dad was ill we put things on hold till his test results were through. If his bowel/bladder trouble had been cancer we were going to bring the wedding forward and just have a smaller do. As he's been given the all clear with that we're sticking with July 05 and after seeing the marquee today we think we're going with there. It's 5 minutes away from home, we know the food is gorgeous. At the moment they have no accomodation but from what we can gather they're getting something sorted in the near future.

Oh dont you get sick of pushy people!

God, when me and Jonathan went to a wedding fayre a few weeks ago, I couldn't help but look at dresses! I told him to close his eyes though

I'm glad things are turning out well, & also I am SO-OOO glad that your dad was given the all clear!

Hope that they do manage to get accomodation sorted soon too!

Love & hugs, Karen xx

I'm glad you enjoyed it. The marquee sounds fantastic - and being only 5 mins away couldn't be better! You've got loads of time to sort out accomodation for people. I'm glad your dad got the all clear too.

Thanks about my dad

I suppose with it been so close to home accomodation isn't really an issue. We can just stick people in tents in the garden lol.
