Default Horse & Carriage

Me & Jonathan went to a wedding fayre today, and got speaking to a company who do horse and carriage!

I am in - Jonathan laughed when I said I must have it!
He said I am turning into a bridezilla...

Wow, the horses look HUGE, and the carriage is from 1870 and has a roof etc incase of bad weather!

I really want it, although if we do choose this route, alongside transport for my BM's etc, travel is going to cost alot more than estimated.

I really would love the whole journey, and I really do think it will make beautiful photos.. especially as I am a fan of horses!

Happy!!!!!

HI Karen

My advice, if you can afford it go for it!!!

I would love to have it but it just costs too much and need to spend the extra cash elsewhere.

I was the moh for my sil2b in September and she had them. One main one for her (seats 2) and then another for the bridesmaids..seats 6!

It was fantastic and so much fun.

That sounds lovely. I would love to have a horse and carriage and we couldn't afford it. Would make wonderful photos though and be so special.

Somebody suggested that if we knew someone with a nice car, we could have the car done up pretty and have someone drive the BM's.

That way, it doesn't all work out too expensive.

We are going to get a few quotes anyway, but, if it is going to save us a few hundred quid, we are going to do our own car up and have someone drive the BM's.... so I am quite happy with that.

See what happens though....

I always wanted a horse and carriage but then with the weather in this country and the easiest way to our venue being a dual carriageway, we decided against it!

I love our car anyway and wouldnt change it but I do so love the horse and carriages still!

Sounds gorge!

We orginally decided against it, but they can make it possible, and its been a dream of mine..

I originally planned to have a gorgeous 4-door beauford. But, see what happens.

What car are you going to have Paula?

Weve got what I think is called a Landaulette (sp?)

Its one of the old ones where the back quarter of the roof comes down so if its nice, we have a convertable and if not, then were covered up.

Its a really gorgeous car - its cream and black with a red leather interior.

We both just it when we saw it!

we had one. I saved the money from other things like my dress. I just couldnt see us turning up to our venue in a car it wouldnt have looked right. We were lucky though cos it wasnt far between church and reception venue and was a lanes also our venue had facilities for the horses so made it vry easy.
The carriage took the mums and bridesmaids first then came back for me and my Dad, it was lovely.
The nicest part was driving up the venue drive all the suffolk punches gallopping over to see their visiting friends.

I say go for it, you only do it once.
