Default Guest Book Idea

I've just been looking on the web trying to find a guest book. Have found a few I really like.

On my search I found these too

http://allfiredupceramics.co.uk/sign...ates/index.htm

Thought it would be a lovely idea and make a nice keepsake.

Do you think though that being passed around amongst the guests it could get broken and therefore be a waste of time and money. I'm thinking that in the evening especially when people have had a few drinks and with kids running about it might get broken.

I've seen a really nice traditional guestbook so might go for that instead.

Just thought it was a nice idea but it does seem like a bit of a hassle having to send it back again for them to finish it.

One idea I've heard of before that sounds nice, is to have slips of paper dotted everywhere that get collected up in a basket at the end of the evening. You can then arrange them in an album/scrapbook/whatever to look at in future years.

At least that way, your book doesn't get damaged, you can censor/omit certain entries and the slips can be filled in by more than one person at a time so you may get a higher response.

Just an idea...

I hope that my child, looking back on today
Will remember a mother who had time to play;
Because children grow up while you're not looking,
There are years ahead for cleaning and cooking.
So, quiet now cobwebs go to sleep.
I'm nursing my baby, and babies don't keep.

That sounds like a good idea. Might go with that and then buy a nice book to put them all in

I had a plain silver GB form paperchase, sadly it got stuck on one table so only had about 20 entries!!!!
Deffo make someone in charge of making sure it goes round to be on the safe side

I had one and put it in the safe hands of my BM who went around all the tables to get all the messages.
We read it the next day before we went off on honeymoon and I nearly wept like a baby!

;-)

Lovely touch......

Thing is, there's SO many gorgeous one's too choose from!!

I spoke to Paul last night and we've decided to go for the traditional guest book idea. Although I like the plate, Paul thinks it might get broken and also said where are we going to put it afterwards.

I've seen lots of nice guestbooks so its just a matter of deciding on one now. I'm going to have a wander round the town as I'd like to be able to see it before I buy one which you can't do over the net.

Aspinals have some lovely ones but they are a bit expensive.
