My wedding cake is now picked! - Wedding Forum

It feels that within the past few weeks, I am getting quite alot of things arranged for my wedding.

I recently found a cake I love; and after meeting the lady at a wedding fayre recently, I emailed her for a quote. Well, she emailed me back today, and I am happy with the price. So, we have confirmed things and I will be sending her my details and cheque deposit!

I am chuffed!!

Also, this morning.. Jonathan booked our BM's car. A brand new Mercedes E class in silver. It will have the flowers and ribbons etc and has a white interior. We've to send them their deposit too.

We'll sort all of that at the weekend!

I remember when I had sod all booked, sorted... and now we have:
Wedding Venue
Reception & Evening Venue
Photographer
Horse & carriage
BM's car
Wedding Rings
Cake -

Also little bits & bobs i.e my garter, Save the date cards, ring cushion, gold coloured table camera's, ********....

Mind, still ALOT more to sort out...

I think because me and Jonathan will be moving in the next few months, I am trying to get most things booked now... And also, it takes some of the pressure off I guess...

I watched a DVD yesterday sent by a videographer who we are interested in. I bawled me eyes out.. "that will be us Jonathan".. sob, sniff... thats all that could be heard!

Did you ever feel that your wedding day would never come Nikki? I always feel that way, and can't imagine the wedding itself. But, booking things and buying things etc do make it feel more real, and reminds you... you're right! x

Sometimes I feel abit fed-up that the wedding is so far off (mind soon catching up) but, with the nice weather, I am enjoying it all more and taking things in my stride. (If that makes sense?!)

What a fab cake.

Know what you mean about the nice weather. Its making me feel all wedding too and getting organised. Thats a good thing as we still have loads to do and only five months to do it in!
