Default An update from me...

I've been away for a bit because our computer decided to die on us and I couldn't risk getting addicted to Groovy while at work! So, here I am on a combination of three old computers which seems to be working pretty well!

I've been catching up on everyone's news - there's been so much to read so I'm sorry to all those people I haven't replied to...

OK, here's an update on me:

- H2B has a new best man
- Our 'building site' wedding reception venue has now agreed to allow us to take our own drinks... £10 a bottle corkage (!!!) but better than nothing I suppose! (So we're now searching for bargain wine sellers - please let me know any decent websites. Tesco wine seems the best so far...)
- I'm now having a hen weekend AND a hen night ! Wanted to be able to invite some people from work so there was no alternative... What a great excuse to drink!
- My neck's bad again so I'm off the gym, but being as healthy as I can possibly be (she says, while supping a glass of lovely wine!).
- We've booked another car so that my mum and the BMs can arrive at the church in style. It's a Rolls Royce -
- We're going to have giant jenga and maybe some other giant games at our reception. We're not allowed to go for the space hoppers - apparently it's an insurance liability!

I can't believe how quickly time is going. We've only got 11 weeks to go - wow! Some of our close friends are getting married in between - only 6 weeks until their 'do' - so time is really going to fly by.

I'm really excited, nervous and petrified at the same time!

Thanks Karen! I hurt my neck at the gym quite a while ago now... It got better but it's bad again! Using the computer makes it worse too... But it'll be ok - I'm confident about that!

Does anyone have any ideas of where to get wine from?

I don't,(ahem) drink but if I did I would probably recommend a Booze Cruise or a trip to the local Cosco.. Failing that you could negotiate a deal with an independant wine merchant...Or like everyone else says Tesco are v.good (join their Wine Club for offfers)..But like I said I dont drink..

What a fantastic idea - I hadn't thought of a booze cruise! A brilliant excuse to nip over to France as well. I'll have to calculate the cost of getting there and back as well though, to make sure it's worth it... Thanks for the suggestions!

We got our wine from Threshers - who were doing a really nice australian promotion at the time - I think it was 3 bottles for £10. We got the champagne for half price at Asda during a promotion too.

If you live down South it may well be worth the booze cruise, but for the hassle and petrol from up here it seemed too much bother.

Hope everything comes together for you soon

Glad your plans are coming along nicely. I'd suggest the booze cruise as well if you don't have too far to go. Some of the newspapers do offers too and you can take your car for £15.

Otherwise a cash and carry like Mackro are pretty cheap. Someone you know might have a card for them.

Hope you get everything sorted.
