Hello!!
Forgive me for being nosey but I just wondered what all you Smuggies (if you read this bit!) did the night before you nuptials...did you go out or stay in on your own?????
Ooh I was wondering this too. At the moment me and Paul are thinking of getting both sets of parents and my sister and brother and the best man to all go out for a nice meal somewhere. I'm staying at my parents the night before so will just go back with them afterwards.
I think an early night with a bit of pampering sounds nice.

We went out for a meal with some friends of mine from university (and their kids) They had travelled from NI, London and the Shetland Isles and I wanted to spend some time with them as I knew I wouldn't have time on the day itself.
After the meal, J went to his BMs and I got my brother to pick me up and take me back to the hotel so I could chat to more friends and relatives
I got home about midnight and chatted to Emma (my wedding twin) on MSN. Got to sleep about 12.30 (I think) and slept like a baby until just after 8am
We had a family meal after the rehearsal - me, mum and dad, my brother and Niall's granny and Niall! We broke with tradition and stayed together the night before. It was lovely and romantic and I got my wedding present (a beautiful gold and pearl necklace) a day early!!
We had our rehersal at 7pm on the friday evening, took a car to the hotel so we could get home on the sunday and chatted to some of our guests who had already booked in, then Mark and his BM went out for a quiet drink, and I went home with my mum, brother and SIL and we had M&S chinese food Then mum and I pampered ourselves before finally going to bed about 11pm!! Couldn't resist sending Mark a quick text though Next time I saw him was at the church
Mark was at our house by himself with just the cats, and said he had one of the best nights sleep ever
Bless, I'd do it all again in a heartbeat
Lo xx

I didn't do anything special. In Northern Ireland, people come with presents to the house from about a fortnight b4 the wedding. So the night before we had 3 people, one of whom stayed until after 10! My mum and dad were saying we're away to bed, etcetc to give him the hint, but it took a lot of hinting. I just went on to bed, I was wrecked after running around all that day! He left pretty soon after I went upstairs.
Matt was at his mum & dads and I was at mine. We had people staying over at my mum and dads so we had a curry and then just sat up drinking. I don't think matt did anything apart from watch TV.

I think I'll be having a relaxing night in when me and Brian get married.
Last time though was quite manic as my heart wasn't in it. My sister had arrived from South Africa 5 days before so I decided on an impromptu hen night round York! I got home and opened a bottle of vodka which me and my sister and hairdresser who was staying the night sat up and drunk while chatting to online friends before we finally went off to bed at 3.30!!!! I then got up at 6.30 and decided to hoover for something to do! Mad!
It was Jamie's birthday two days before our wedding, so on the night before we had a big birthday party in the garden of the local pub for everyone who had already come across to the Island. It was a really lovely evening and it enable people to get chatting before the wedding itself. I think it helped people get to know each other and feel more comfortable on the day. At the end of the night, I went back to my Grandparents house where I was staying and Jamie went back to the venue and stayed with him best man. The next time I saw him was waiting at the end of the aisle for me!
