I appear to have become wedding obsessed!
Over the past few days (well since Friday night when I watched Decords wedding video) I have become obsessed with my wedding, with all things orange, gold and red, and with planning. Seriously, is everyone else going through this? Does it calm down as at the moment I feel in a frenzy!
I have found the most perfect bridesmaid dresses, they are £200 though and only sold in the US, no matter I can order them to be delivered to my aunt in florida...i want to find them cheaper than £200 each though as although they are divine and amazing, 4 adult bridesmaids all add up.
More good news, Decords (thanks love) saved a cut out of a beautiful wedding with my colours from when she was planning, and I have got in touch with the photographer who did this couples wedding in 2001....and asked them to put me in touch with her. She married a famous rugby player a few years back. Anyway, I talked to her today and she is giving me all her gold organza bows and about 20 sets of beautiful orange flowers that she had as chair backs....they are SO perfect and she is such a lovely person. This means I can use them as pew ends for the church.
I'm also bidding on ebay on gold ribbon for round my invitations and organza gold bags for my favours...like I said i have gone WEDDING MAD! I am even phoning the venue to ask what colour their chairs are...and I can't walk past something orange without touching it and thinking 'how can I make that work in my wedding'
Is there a group, like the AA or something? I don't get married for over a year!

Just come off the phone to the venue and I think they think I am mad, asking what colours the chairs are...she had to go and check! They are purple with a grey fleck...so not orange or gold or red...but unless people have eyes in their arse then it hardly matters!
Also asked about flowers but will put that on a diff thread....she also confirmed again that alchohol favours are fine and that we can play with the drinks package and have an extra welcome cocktail rather than champagne for the toast, fizzy wine is fine!

Here's the seat covers, I am being bridezilla by wanting covers...tell me I'm stoopid (except you see I have over 130 gold organza bows for chair backs coming for free in the post and i want to use them)

Oh, it's symptomatic of wedding planning, m'dear. If it's any consolation, I'm in serious need of counselling - it's over a year and a half since I got married and I STILL have to talk myself out of buying wedding magazines. But the Australian ones are sooooooooooo gorgeous *sob* !!! And the size of a telephone directory!

I have the most beautiful Australian wedding mag my auntie sent me, it has loads of slinky decords stylee dresses in...and those essence ones you posted ages ago.
I don't think you need counselling, maybe plan a blessing for the 5 year anniversary? That NEEDS magazines!
