Default Flowers - is this a good deal

I have spoken to the Water Garden in the NIA their flowers are so fabulous and funky and modern, Jack has sent me beautiful flowers from there.

The quote is 500 quid for:

Brides bouquet
3 bridesmaid bouquets
up to 20 button holes
up to 3 corsages
2 x Thank you bouquets

Now I only need one thank you bouquet for my mum and probably 2 corsages..so she said she could incorporate the other BM bouquet and Annabels into the £500....what do you think?

Also, at the venue there are table centres and top table arrangements included in the price of the package, but I have asked how much these are costed at to see if I can do them cheaper myself...they are costed at 8.50 per table, she said instead she would offer a reduction of .85 per person. Do you think its worth it?

I think £500 is a bit pricey - but if you like their work & you click with them then it's worth it

Mine were £300 & I had red valentines day which put the price up:

1 small brides bouquet
3 wrist corsages
8 button holes
2 small corsages
2 large pedestals

Ooooh I loved my pedestals

That sounds OK. I shopped around and found a wonderful florist that was recommended by my dress shop. I got a voucher from the lady in the dress shop so went there.

I am having a hand tied bouquet of roses for me, 2 slightly smaller ones for the bridesmaids, 8 button holes and 2 corsages. This is for £180. Paul's mum is doing the flowers for the reception and most them are silk. I went shopping with her the other day and we got them from a wholesale place that she new about. We got enough for the top table and 8 other tables and they were only 60quid. We also got all the other bits and pieces to make them up. The church is decorated for harvest festival so we aren't going to bother with that.

If you really like them then go for it but you might be able to get them cheaper somewhere else. Depends on what you want really.

I think that sounds ok - you're having quite a lot...

Ours are costing about £750. That includes my flowers and those for 3 BMs, button holes for the groom, best man, dads and ushers, flower arch at the church and flowers in the church, and flowers at the reception. I personally think it's nice to get all flowers from the same place as then they'll match. But it depends if you're bothered about them...

It's worth getting some more quotes anyway, just to see what others will offer.

You know Rools, I think it isn't too bad - I think you get what you pay for.

I would take up on the offer of the same company doing all of your flowers, unless your reception venue can work around exactly what you want etc.

Flowers at my venue are also included with the package, but I am okay with leaving this as it is, because they would still charge me even if I got an outside person to sort out the flowers.

I have budgeted £600 for all of my flowers - though I am hoping not to spend this much... Just do what you feel is best sweetheart!

Minewere cheaper Rools (About 250 for my bouquet, CBM, two little BM, major buttonholes, 30 little butonholes and table decs) but fairly standard (if very lovely) too - it depends what you want to splash out on! If oyu really love the flowers she does, and want want want them, then bugger the price and go for it!

Show us some designs!
