Hiya all.....has anyone got specific ideas about what sort of ring they are having? I want a two tone gold one with a celtic weave pattern and h2b would like a matching one.

Laura, I have ordered a white and yellow gold celtic band . I found it pretty hard to find what I was looking for though as not many companies seem to sell two tone gold in that style

Hi Bex...yes it is hard to come by...I found one in Symingtons of all places.......haven't got it yet so if they dont stock them by the time I am ready I guess I'll just have the plain gold celtic one....although I did see a lovely one with a semi circle of diamonds on it.

Hopefully we'll be able to get this ring, more or less. It's from the same place that my engagement ring came from. As it's brushed white gold, and my H2B prefers yellow, this is a lovely happy medium! Just trying to negotiate prices with the jeweller now to see if we can make it in slightly cheaper materials...its getting a wee bit pricey! All rings of sheer gorgeousness on www.mdtdesign.com - if you are ever in Australia & you want something a bit different.... Lovely people in the shop too - they designed & made my e-ring in 2 days instead of the usual 2 weeks, because we were only passing through. Great stuff!

Mmmmmmmmm! That is gorgeous!
I need a shaped one to fit my engagement ring, and it is going to cost me £170 min to have it made! This is expensive as we are on a tight budget for what H2B and I can pay for. Luckily Goldsmiths have brought out a new shaped range, and they have one that exactly matches my e-ring!! I think it will be about £50 for 9ct and more for 18ct.
Going to try it on at the weekend!

Lovely ring Diane.
I would have loved one with a few diamonds set in as I won't really be wearing my e-ring once I move back to London (I don't live in the friendliest of areas and I wouldn't feel comfy with a pricey ring on my finger). However budget will not allow - at the moment we don't even have a budget for rings, and are even looking at the Argos ones. Bit I've found a couple of places for us here in Brissy to try before we go the Argos route. We're just having plain white gold bands - comfort is the most important thing really for us.

Chris is having a white gold and red gold band made (£130, bit of a bargain I thought!)
I'll probably have something ordinary...

I've got an emerald cut diamond engagement ring, and have gone for a white gold band with 4 round diamonds set in a square, five times around the ring (quite difficult to explain) but its lopvely, and as i dont want an eternity ring, it semmed appropriate. Got it form Ernest Jones in Dublin!
H2B is having a very wide white gold band with diamonds set in it similar to mine, but only 1 'square' of them (if you see what i mean!)

where are you getting your rings made? That seems a great price to me too, and H2B wants something slightly different aswell.
Thankies
Where in Manchester are you btw?

we havent ordered ours yet - will probably go for a plain platinum band...
does anyone know how much that should cost?

We've both got plain platinum bands. H2B's is 6mm and mine is 4mm wide.
Abbie - plain platinum bands go from about £100 and the prices go up then depending on the width.
When we were looking for ours it would have cost us about £1000 for both of the rings, we were lucky that my brother was going abroad and got them abroad for us so it only cost us £250 for both instead.

Niddy - we're getting Chris' ring made by "silverlode" one of the shops in the Crfat Centre in the middle of Manchester (in the N/4).
I live in WEst DIdsbury but am currently in the "1/2 sq mile" of the city centre at work (delusions of granduer methinks!!).
The craft centre's a brilliant place to look for ideas of different things if nothing else.

I've got a fairly plain e-ring, platinum with a solitaire diamond, so I thought that I'd go for a platinum wedding ring with little individual diamonds in it. Not usre HTB approves though- he can't undertsand my need for more diamonds- I say a girl can never have enough of them!
