No, no , no you are looking at this in the wrong way...

the "Dress Hunt" is a journey , some dresses you'll love bits of, some you'll hate...( )

Enjoy the search - and you will find something you

(Says nothing about how many dresses I tried on... )

I went to three shops all in all. Tried on loads and then at the third shop - I tried my dress on and just knew it was "the one".

Enjoy every minute of trying them all on. A good shop should make you feel like a princess. The shops I went to even gave me shoes and veils to try on with the dresses. I loved every minute of it. And when you do find "the one" it is an amazing feeling.

Have fun Lisa.

Dress shopping is fantastic!

I knew what kind of dress I wanted, and the first one I tried on was 'the one'... however I tried on a few more after that just to be sure.

Have fun.

Glad that your sister has come around. xx

I spent months dress hunting Went shopping with one of a couple of good friends - one came over from Belfast, the other came up from London or I went to her.

I found the dress I loved after trying on...

And do you know what - I wouldn't change a thing about the dress hunting - I had a whale of a time

Have fun dress shopping.

I went to one horrid shop where I didn't try on anything as they were really rude and unhelpful even though I'd made an appointment.

I went to another shop and they were so lovely. I tried on about 15 dresses. I fell in love with the second one I tried on but tried on a few more and then the last one I tried on was so special that I new it was the one.

The first one I tried was 'The One' but I tried another 4 just to see but they were nothing on mine.

In a way I wish I'd had a few visits so I could have done a bit more of the trying part!! In the end we were in the shop 3 times - 1st time to try, 2nd to pay & 3rd to collect!

They were fantastic though and really made me feel special and were lovely to mum while she was waiting for me too.

As has been said, trying on as many dresses as possible is all part of the fun! When I was doing the rounds (so to speak!) I got chatting to a girl who was picking up her dress. She said that her only regret was not trying on more dresses. She loved her dress (and she did look really great in it when she tried it on!) but all the same, she wished she tried on more just for the fun of it.

Also, even when you do find "the one", try on more and more. If nothing else, it confirms in your head that you have made the right choice. Also, be ready to forget any ideas you may have as to what you would like - it can change in a major way when you start tring them on (I went from wanting some simple and streamline to er, big!).

Most importantly, remember to take a step back and enjoy the moment (think of this as prep for the big day!!).

I went to 5 shops with appointments nad drop in to at least 4 others! With my BM's tried on waht felt like 100 dresses and fell in love with 3/4 (each trip i found a new 'the one' but they kept being over budget £900, i said i was gonna spend £600, anyway, after debating whethr to stretch the budget or not for the dream dresses foudn a cheaper one at 450. but still couldn't make up mind, then had an appointment at a shop offering 10% off weekend and tried nearly all their stock, found my princess dress, which had the bling i wanted alongside the princess theme, debated between this and the cheaper one and had another visit to the shops with my CBM nad deceided that the princess one was THE ONE. Its really sparkly but you can see it in the picture but it has lots of crystals in the bodice so sparkels as it catches the light!!!

I think I tried about 40 in total, over the course of about a year though on diff appointments! I started early as my auntie was over from oz, and then went quite a few times with A, with Fleur and with my mum. I had seen mine on the internet already and fallen in love with it, and the shop got it in especially for me...then I went to the shop and tried on about 8 before the one I had ordered in...then the sales assistant told me to close my eyes while she dressed me and put a veil and a tiara on with the dress....then when i opened my eyes I burst out crying, it was SO perfect!

So YES, you know when its the ONE!
