I think you'll find people who make tiara's will be able to make these for you.
Although they do look nice, I personally prefer the look of real flowers (for my own wedding anyway)
I struggled for a while deciding on my flowers, but have naturally (and recently) came to decide on what I want for my wedding.
Good luck, I hope you make a decision soon as to what you would like.

I like the idea, you would beable to keep it forever, i'm not that keen on flowers myself so I think its a great alternative.
You could make one easy enough Fee, give it a go!!

That's true Spicey.....!
All you need to do Fee is get some beading wire and some crystals. Have a look at this site - www.mailorderbeads.commailorderbeads.com
I started making my bridesmaids tiaras using things from this site, and they look really good. Just put the crystal at the centre of a piece of wire twice the length you want it to be, and twist the wire together. Then you can just bed it however you want....! It'll be a lot cheaper than buying one!

Thanks for suggestions, I don't know if I'm up to making one as I'm not that crafty/arty but I had a look at that beads website and it looks great so I might give it a go. I found a picture of the kind of thing I was thinking of, but they are only available to buy from a shop in Derbyshire. When I was at my dress fitting and asked the woman in the shop about what flowers would go she showed me a crystal one they had, which also had feathers in it to give it more volume, it was gorgeous but the price was a little dear! I'm just struggling to find real flowers as I need then to be very white, so I thought gain about the cystal ones since it goes with my silver and white evening theme, plus I will have diamonte wire framed flowers in my hair. I know I'm going to really struggle to decide this one (hence why I'm rambling again..)

Why don't you go for flowers and Diamontes, or would you rather the crystal bouqet? I'm having Red roses, with Diamontes in the middle of probably about half of them. A florist should be able to find you the right colour you're looking for. Have you had a meeting with any florists yet? I'll have a fiddle with some of the qire I've got for my bridesmaids tiaras tonight, and let you know how easy it would be to make a crystal bouqet.....!

Thanks, you're a star!
Flowers with crystals may be a really good compromise. I have booked a florist, the one that is attached to the hotel I'm getting married in, so have had a short discussion with her a few months ago. We looked at Cala lillies, I love the shape but they are quite creamy? If I could find a white flower and then put quite a few crystals in it would work. I'm not back in Scotland again though to visit her again until the end of March (for my hen night!!!) so time is now against me.
If anyone knows what flowers are white??????? (sounds like a daft question!)

Fee I love the pic you posted above, this never occured to me, don't know why, you can keep them forever too then. I like the idea of mixing your flowers with crystals, you get the scent as well as the sparkle then

Didn't get a chance to play about with the crystal thing last night, but I'll have a go later on today.....!
As for white flowers, it depends.... when is it you're getting married?
If it's a summer wedding, daisies or gypsophila would look gorgeous, but then, they wouldn't be completely white, or if it's a winter wedding, how about snowdrops? You can't really incorporate crystals into these ideas tho.
If you fancied the idea of lillies, have a look at Arum Lilies! They're a bit more costly than Calla Lilies (depending on what time of year it is really).
Sorry, this isn't really much help is it! Lol.
I'll keep having a look for you, but don't worry you'll find something perfect in the end!

I've attached a pic of an Arum Lily for you.....!

Oooo I love crystal bouquets & quite fancied a black one to match my jet choker.
I picked up some jewelery bumph at a wedding fair & they said they were starting to do them & to email for details.
I emailed them twice & the buggers never got back to me Didn't manage to source them anywhere else at the time.
They're good for hayfever suffers

Managed to have a play about, and this is pretty much what it looks like to me in the pic you posted Fee...
You'd need to use a slightly thicker wire than I did, because it's a bit too bendy, and you'd probably want silver instead of gold....??
It's REALLY easy, honest! Took me about 2 minutes to do the one. Obviously it'd have to be longer, but the one I've done is just an example of how it would look.
Hope this helps?

fee,
Orchids, are really white, they are great if your not into smelly flowers, I have 2 orchid plants both white and you can't smell a think from them, they are however very pretty to look at.

Fran, that looks great, I love the little flower its like the daisies on my skirt - perfect. Maybe I might try it! If it doesn't work out I can still order flowers. The Arum lily looks so pretty too, is it whiter than Calas? Would it work with crystals in a bouquet.
I've also emailed my dress shop to see if they can email me a pic of the bouquet in their shop I loved. So hopefully I can out it on here and get opinions. I was always bad at being decisive!

Fee - I'm sure if you spoke to your florist there would be some way of incorporating crystals into the bouquet if you had Arum lillies......? Maybe a mixture like the crystal bouquet you like, but with Lillies in it too, and not quite as many crystals? I'm not sure that Arum Lillies are any more white than Calla ones to be honest, but I always preferred Arum lillies.....! Some calla lillies have a bit of a green tinge on them I think... (I may be completely wrong!)

P.S
Thankyou! I finally got round to finishing off one of my bridesmaids tiaras because I started playing around with the beads and wire! Lol!

The lady making my tiara also does crystal bouquets.
Her name is Jo and she is very helpful with suggestions and even when I called her four times in two hours she didn't get stroppy.
Her site is www.preciousaccessories.co.uk and I would be happy to reccommend her!

undefinedundefinedundefinedI'm thinking of having crystal bouquets for myself and smaller ones for my bridesmaids.. The thought of keeping them forever is very romantic... but I've yet to see ones that I like.... Does this woman make them to fit your wedding themes etc...? and is she expensive as I couldn't see them on her site

I think she has only just started doing them. You can just e-mail her to see if she is available to make your tiara/all things sparkly. I'm having the fairy wands for my bridesmaids and the matching hair clips which OF COURSE all match my tiara!!! I got an excellent price because I bought so much but the prices were very reasonable especially as they were by far the nicest and most original accessories i've ever seen and believe me I've looked!!
