Default OMG How much?

We drove past a place today that's having a wedding fair later this month so we've said we'll go have a look. It's a place I would have loved to have got married as my mum was born there but I've always thought it was too expensive. I did enquire about it but there were way too many hidden costs and things like £1250 room hire, £100 clean up charge and then paying so much a head for any no shows on the day even though they'd already been paid for 4 weeks prior to the day all screamed cashing in on the word wedding to me.

Anyway I've just been checking the date of the wedding fair on their website and it looks like they've got new packages for this year. They now do a platinum package for a minimum number of 90 on Friday and Saturday for £410 per person!!!!!!!! That's almost 40 grand!!!!

They do cheaper packages from £85 a head but the disco etc is extra. Guests can have rooms at the reduced rate of £165 and if they need a sofa bed in the room it's an extra £55. Oh and the bride can only have a room from 12 noon on the day of the wedding if the couple go for the cheaper options!

Blimey anyone who goes for that must have more money than sense. I'll bet there'll be a few though.

I'm sure I heard about a hotel in Japan that does a fully inclusive wedding package for the equivalent of £1 million (I think it was Japan)...

Just goes to show, no matter how ridiculous the amount of money there is always someone willing to pay it!

The £410 per head includes accomodation for the guests - but as they only have 21 rooms and they have a minimum of 90 guests it doesn't weigh up to me.

Shall I ring them and ask how big their beds are and how many people can share?
